Don't eat these foods before your period!

Alcohol: Alcohol will consume the body's vitamin B and minerals. Excessive drinking will disrupt carbohydrate metabolism and produce too much estrogen, stimulate vasodilation, and cause early menstruation and excessive menstrual flow.

Salt: It is harmful for women to eat salty food before their menstrual period. Too salty food will increase the salt and water reserves in the body, causing headaches, excitement, irritability, etc. before menstruation.

When it comes to diet during menstruation, avoid eating raw or cold food . Traditional Chinese medicine believes that blood flows when it is hot and stagnates when it is cold. Eating cold food during menstruation can hinder digestion and damage the body's yang energy, leading to internal cold. Stagnation of cold can cause poor blood flow, resulting in too little menstrual blood, or even dysmenorrhea. Even in the hot summer season, it is not advisable to eat cold drinks during menstruation. During menstruation, it is advisable to eat cooked and warm food. In winter, you can also eat some warm tonic foods such as mutton, chicken, and longan.

Caffeinated beverages: They can cause breast tenderness, anxiety, irritability and mood swings. They also consume vitamin B stored in the body and disrupt carbohydrate metabolism.

Bamboo shoots: Bamboo shoots are cold in nature and contain more crude fiber and insoluble calcium oxalate. Women should avoid eating them during menstruation.

Cold drinks: People with cold menstrual disorders should avoid drinking them.

Soda : Many women who like to drink carbonated drinks will experience fatigue and lack of energy during menstruation, which is a sign of iron deficiency. Because soda and other beverages mostly contain phosphates, they react chemically with iron in the body, making it difficult to absorb iron. In addition, drinking too much soda will neutralize the sodium bicarbonate in the soda with gastric juice, reducing the digestive ability and bactericidal effect of gastric acid and affecting appetite.

Milk: Cheese is the root cause of dysmenorrhea : foods such as milk, cheese, cream, and yeast milk will destroy the absorption of magnesium.

Maybe you already know some of them, and there are some you don’t know. Only by taking care of your body can you be healthier.
