How to calculate the ovulation period if the menstruation is delayed every month

Women spend a lot of time preparing for pregnancy in order to conceive their baby as soon as possible. Mothers make adequate preparations from pregnancy preparation to pregnancy. They will have sex after calculating ovulation to increase the chance of pregnancy. So, how to calculate the delayed ovulation period of menstruation?

How to calculate the ovulation period after delayed menstruation

The ovulation period is closely related to the menstrual period. How to calculate the ovulation period when the menstruation is delayed? Let’s take a look at it below.

1. If the menstrual cycle is regular, a woman's ovulation period is usually about 14 days before the next menarche. The 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, a total of 10 days within the ovulation period, are called the ovulation period.

For example, assuming a woman has a regular menstrual cycle of 30 days, the first day of this menstruation is June 25th, then the next menstruation will come on July 25th, and the ovulation period is 14 days before July 25th, which is July 11th. The first 5 days of ovulation are July 6th, and the last 4 days are July 15th, so the ovulation period is from July 6th to July 15th. How many days after menstruation is the ovulation period? Just subtract the time when this menstrual period ends from July 6th. For example, if your period starts on June 25 and ends on June 30, then the ovulation period is 6 days after your period.

2. If your menstrual period is unstable, then your ovulation period can be calculated as follows: the first day of ovulation = the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days, the last day of ovulation = the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days. The calculation method is to use the first day of menarche as the reference point and count the days backwards.

For example, your menstrual cycle is irregular, sometimes only 23 days, sometimes as long as 35 days. Then the first day of your ovulation period is 23-8=5, and the last day of your ovulation period is 35-11=24. In this case, the ovulation period may be as long as 24-5=19 days. However, this only indicates the possibility of ovulation during this period, and it is impossible to accurately calculate the exact day of ovulation.

What should you pay attention to during ovulation?

Women must pay attention to various safety precautions during this ovulation period, and do not let themselves be invaded by diseases. Moreover, the most important thing to do in these daily life details is to persist.

1. Have your own special cotton towel and use flowing water to clean private parts when taking a shower.

2. After each defecation, it is best to develop the habit of washing with warm water to prevent intestinal bacteria from entering the vagina and causing inflammation.

3. You must drink enough water every day to reduce the bacteria that grow in the urethra.

4. When you have a lot of secretions, you can use a hair dryer with warm air to dry your private parts after taking a shower. After taking a shower, you should wear underwear after your private parts are relatively dry. Nowadays, many people only wear skirts without underwear at home, or do not wear underwear when sleeping at night. This is better for the private parts, as it allows it to have a chance to ventilate and dry. But bedding should be changed frequently to keep it clean.

5. Be careful when choosing daily necessities, and use less sanitary napkins and handkerchiefs containing spices, colorants or deodorizing ingredients. In addition, there is no need to use soapy water or shower gel to clean the vagina, because most of the general shower gels and soaps are alkaline, with a pH value above 7, which will easily destroy the weakly acidic environment and cause gynecological diseases.
