Delayed menstruation depends on the stage of the period. If it is a female in puberty, or a woman with no sexual history, it may be due to the immaturity of the hypothalamus-pituitary-uterine-ovarian axis, or unstable female hormones in the body, resulting in menstrual disorders, which can be further observed. If a woman of childbearing age has delayed menstruation and a history of sexual intercourse, she should take an early pregnancy test or a blood test to check the level of human chorionic gonadotropin to rule out any pregnancy-related conditions. A uterine ultrasound should confirm whether it is a normal intrauterine pregnancy. If a normal intrauterine pregnancy involves spotting, the possibility of threatened abortion is relatively high and the pregnancy should be treated symptomatically if necessary. A delay of one week in menstruation is within the normal physiological range. A small amount of bleeding is mostly a sign of menarche. You can take some medicines to regulate menstruation and promote blood circulation appropriately, and pay attention to keeping the lower abdomen warm. If there is a small amount of spotting after a week of delay in the menstrual cycle, and you have a normal sexual life without taking any contraceptive measures, you should first consider bleeding during the implantation period of the embryo in the early pregnancy, etc. You should go to the outpatient gynecology department of a regular hospital in time for a gynecological B-ultrasound examination or a urine HCG test, make a comprehensive assessment, and determine the diagnosis and choose a reasonable plan. It is abnormal to have a delayed menstruation and a little spotting during pregnancy. There are two possibilities to consider: 1. Irregular menstruation; 2. Possibility of pregnancy. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a check-up. First, draw blood to test chorionic estrogens. If the test result is normal, pregnancy can be ruled out and it is definitely irregular menstruation. It is recommended to do a pelvic ultrasound examination to check whether there are pelvic space-occupying lesions and uterine wall. If the pelvic space-occupying lesions are cleared and the endometrial thickness is normal, estrogen treatment can be used. After stopping the use, the uterine wall will fall off and withdrawal bleeding will occur. If your period is delayed for eleven days and you experience spotting during pregnancy, there are three possibilities: 1. Menarche; 2. Threatened abortion caused by intrauterine pregnancy; 3. Ectopic pregnancy. If your menstruation is delayed and you have spotting during pregnancy, you need to go to the hospital outpatient department to do a pregnancy test and color ultrasound examination. A pregnancy test can determine whether you are pregnant. If the pregnancy test paper shows negative, then it is normal for your period to come. If the pregnancy test paper shows positive, it means you are pregnant. Color Doppler ultrasound examination can reveal the presence of a gestational sac in the uterine cavity and confirm intrauterine pregnancy. If the gestational sac is seen outside the uterus, it is an ectopic pregnancy. |
