Why does the endometrium thicken?

Endometrial thickening is a common gynecological disease that can cause a lot of harm. Many patients do not understand the cause of the disease. Therefore, patients often ask such questions: what causes the thick uterine wall? Generally speaking, thick endometrium is caused by the following reasons.

1. Growth hormone protein kinase is distributed throughout

Complex thickening of the uterine wall is related to the distribution of growth hormone protein kinase. This type of endometrial thickening may be polyp-like, and complex thickening of the uterine wall may be mixed with other types of thickening such as uterine atrophy.

2. Ovarian confusion

If the uterus and ovaries are disordered, it is easy to cause abnormal endometrial thickening, that is, uterine wall hyperplasia. The clinical symptoms are irregular and excessive abnormal uterine bleeding. Patients may have continuous bleeding after long-term amenorrhea. Some patients also show shortened cycle time, prolonged menstruation, and bleeding time of up to 1 month.

3. Abnormal estrogen metabolism

The secretion of hormones in the female hormone glands is unbalanced, resulting in anovulation. The uterine wall is affected by estrogen for a long time, and there is no regular metabolic cycle, so the uterine wall is in a thickening state for a long time. It is a common factor in the causes of endometrial thickening in women.

4. Endocrine Multifunctional Tumors

Endocrine multifunctional tumors cause abnormalities in the gonadotropin function of the pituitary gland, resulting in uterine and ovarian granulosa cell tumors, which can also cause thickening of the endometrium in women.

5. Obesity

The adrenaline of obese women is metabolized into androstenedione, which is converted into estrone after the action of aromatase in the fat tissue of the human body. The estrone level in the blood increases, which is very likely to cause a sustained estrogenic effect and cause thickening of the endometrium in women.

After the above detailed introduction to the causes of thick uterine wall, it is recommended that patients seek immediate treatment to prevent the disease from worsening and having an adverse effect on treatment. If you never know whether you have this disease, it is best to have a gynecological checkup once a year.
