How to tell if your period is coming

How to tell if your period is coming

In the past, menstruation was a sign that a girl had grown up, her body organs had matured, and she was ready to get married and have children. Nowadays, due to the improvement of people's living standards and more nutritious diet, children's growth and development are much earlier than before, and the first menstruation also comes earlier. So let's find out together: How to determine whether you have your period?

How to tell if you have your period

In puberty, women's uterine wall undergoes regular changes due to the action of sex hormones secreted by the ovaries. It sheds once a month, and the shed mucosa and blood are discharged from the body through the vagina. This bleeding phenomenon is called menstruation. It is called menstruation because it occurs once a month for most people. The first time a girl has her period is called menarche, which is one of the key signs of the onset of puberty. The age of menarche is approximately 10 to 17 years old.

Before my period, there was usually some blood on my underwear. Before a girl's menarche, her body will undergo a series of changes. If this change is understood, the time of a girl's menarche can be estimated.

1. Measure weight and height: After girls enter puberty (11-14 years old), measure their height and weight twice every six months. If a measurement reveals a sudden increase in height and weight, it indicates that the girl may have her first menstruation in the next six months.

2. Observe the condition of the breasts: If you find that the breasts have just begun to grow and develop, swell and nipples appear, and there is a lump when touched, then the girl will have her first menstruation in the next two years.

3. Check for secretions: If the girl's vagina is discharged with a transparent or milky white liquid like egg white, with a fishy smell or no smell and a little thick, it is normal; if the secretions are found to be dark brown, it indicates that the girl's menarche will come in 2-3 days.

4. If acne occurs, menstruation may arrive within 2 to 3 months.

How to know when menstruation comes I believe everyone already knows, because nowadays children have better physical fitness, as parents, we should teach them some knowledge about women's growth as early as possible. Let them have a certain degree of preparation, so as not to cause anxiety and worry. At the same time, they should learn to pay attention to their own hygiene and physiological condition to avoid unnecessary confusion.
