Leucorrhea self-examination chart

Leucorrhea self-examination chart

Under normal circumstances, there is often a small amount of secretion in the vagina and private parts to maintain moisture, which is called secretion; it is composed of vaginal mucosal exudate, cervical gland duct and uterine wall secretion, and contains vaginal epithelial cells, fallen cells and white blood cells. Normal leucorrhea is milky white, colorless and odorless, and its quantity and quality are related to changes in the body's physiological conditions. If the amount of excretion increases or the characteristics become abnormal, it is called physiological secretion or abnormal leucorrhea.

Abnormal vaginal discharge

1. There is a lot of leucorrhea, which is milky white mucus (sometimes light yellow, pus-like or stubborn), and may be accompanied by symptoms such as lumbar pain, sexual intercourse pain, sexual intercourse bleeding, infertility, etc., but most mild patients may have no obvious symptoms.

2. The discharge is continuous and resembles rice washing water, or is stained with blood, accompanied by a foul odor, and occasionally a small piece of necrotic and fallen tissue can be seen; non-menstrual bleeding in the vagina, which may be spotty or heavy bleeding depending on the disease; persistent pain when bending over and in the lumbosacral region.

3. Postmenopausal women initially develop hard nodules and cauliflower-like growths or ulcers on the vulva, often accompanied by mild burning pain and itching or whitening of the private parts; the secretions are continuously discharged like rice washing water, or are stained with blood, accompanied by a foul odor, and occasionally a small piece of necrotic tissue can be seen; in the late stage, partial ulceration, infiltration and infection appear, with significant pain and secretions with a stubborn and foul odor. If the urethra is invaded, there may be significant frequent urination, urgency, pain and difficulty urinating.

4. There is a lot of leucorrhea, which is milky white mucus, sometimes light yellow, pus-like or stubborn. It may be accompanied by symptoms such as lumbar pain, sexual intercourse pain, sexual intercourse bleeding, infertility, etc., but most mild patients may have no obvious symptoms.

5. Excessive leucorrhea and vulvar itching are clinical symptoms. The secretions are yellowish-brown, sticky and thin liquid. If there is a mixed infection with bacteria, the secretions will be pus-like and have a fishy smell. In severe cases, they may be stained with blood. They are often sticky and are mostly accompanied by itching in the vagina and vulva, occasionally with burning sensation, pain and pain during sexual intercourse. Those with urethral infection will have frequent urination, urgency, pain when urinating, and even hematuria.

6. Have taken estrogen drugs or contraceptive drugs.

7. Bloody leucorrhea (blood in the secretion) occurs after the placement of an IUD (pessary, etc.).

8. Persistent or non-menstrual bleeding in the vagina after menopause; the early vaginal discharge is watery, with a lot of leucorrhea, which is milky white or light yellow, or millet soup-like, and may be stained with blood. In the late stage of necrotic infection, it is pus-like and has an odor. Pelvic involvement can cause severe and persistent pain.

Friendly reminder from experts: Secretion is a criterion for women to check whether their gynecological health is good. Once abnormal vaginal discharge is found, you must go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in time.
