HPV4 vaccine

HPV4 vaccine

When it comes to cervical vaccine, we all know about the 9-valent HPV vaccine, but how much do you know about the 4-valent HPV vaccine? We all know that cervical cancer is a more serious but also one of the most common cancers for women. Therefore, preventing cervical cancer is very important for women. So how should we choose the HPV vaccine? What is the difference between the 4-valent HPV vaccine and the 9-valent vaccine?

The efficacy of the 4-valent HPV vaccine: It can prevent HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18. In fact, the quadrivalent vaccine is just a timely help, because HPV6 and HPV11 are not high-risk HPV viruses for cervical cancer. They can cause genital warts and vulvar cancer, and vulvar cancer is much less common than cervical cancer.

The efficacy of the nine-valent vaccine: Based on the four-valent vaccine, five HPV subtypes, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58, are added, which is said to prevent 90% of cervical cancer!

Although cancers and early stages of cancer of the private parts, vagina, genitals, and anus are relatively rare, at least 80% of anal cancers and at least 40% to 60% of vulvar, vaginal, and penile cancers are caused by HPV. The distribution of HPV genotypes varies by geographical region, but the dominant carcinogenic genotype in all regions is the HPV16 subtype. The world's first vaccine to protect against cervical cancer and precancerous lesions and genital warts caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) types 6, 11, 16 and 18 has been licensed.

Before choosing a vaccine, the first thing is to make sure you are within the age range for vaccination, and the second is to look at your own requirements. If you just want to prevent cervical cancer, then you can choose the bivalent vaccine. If you want to prevent genital warts and cervical cancer, you can choose the quadrivalent vaccine. Therefore, which HPV vaccine you actually need to get should depend on your personal condition.
