Can I get pregnant with a small amount of menstrual flow?

Some female friends want to have a baby after marriage, but they have menstruation every month, which means they are not pregnant. However, the amount of menstruation is very small each time, and the color of the menstrual period is also light pink, and it is gone in about three days. Could it be that small menstrual flow can cause infertility? If this is the reason, what should I do if I suffer from infertility due to low menstrual flow?

Will low menstrual flow cause infertility?

Under normal circumstances, one menstrual bleeding is about 60ml. Less than 30ml is too little, and more than 80ml is too much. Generally speaking, light menstrual blood flow is due to low estrogen levels or incomplete uterine development. Estrogen stimulates the thickening of the uterine wall in preparation for pregnancy.

If pregnancy does not occur, the proliferating endometrium will shed and bleed to produce menstruation. Low levels of estrogen in the body can cause the endometrium to not thicken enough and menstrual bleeding to be less, which will affect pregnancy in the future.

What to do if you have low menstrual flow and infertility

1. When a woman has a small menstrual flow that affects normal pregnancy, she should first undergo a color Doppler ultrasound examination to understand the thickness of the uterine wall. If no intrauterine operation has been performed, in this case, six blood hormone tests are also required to understand the basic function of the uterus and ovaries and whether the estrogen level is normal.

2. If intrauterine adhesions are caused by abortion or intrauterine operation, resulting in decreased menstrual volume, hysteroscopic adhesion separation surgery is generally required.

3. For infertility caused by endometrial thickening, a diagnostic curettage and oral administration of progesterone can be performed for treatment. The thin endometrium and reduced menstrual volume caused by low estrogen levels should be treated periodically with medication prescribed by the doctor.

After reading the above information, it seems that small menstrual flow can indeed cause infertility. So if a female friend wants to have a baby, she must first learn to take care of her body. First of all, she must make the menstrual volume normal. This will indicate that various indicators such as the uterus will tend to be normal. Only in this way can she get pregnant as soon as possible.
