Tips for women to prevent pregnancy after the event

Introduction: When the condom breaks during sex, or when having sex without any contraceptive method, many women try to avoid pregnancy by bouncing on the ground, sneezing, and coughing in an attempt to use these external forces to discharge semen from the vagina.

Some standard housewives use natural soda water, edible vinegar and warm water to rinse the vagina, or use a wet cloth to vigorously clean the vagina to make the semen flow out. Many people also insert contraceptive cream suppositories and membranes into the vagina.

This method of trying to kill male sperm can only destroy and clean up the male sperm left in the female vagina. When the condom breaks, the male sperm quickly swims into the cervix and uterus, and as a result, some people are bound to get pregnant. It is difficult to say whether women who do not become pregnant benefit from this strategy.

Because unprotected intercourse itself is not 100% likely to lead to pregnancy. Its pregnancy rate is about 20-30%. The measures detailed below are how to minimize the pregnancy rate.

The methods of contraception can be generally divided into two categories: drug methods and mechanical methods. Therapeutic drugs are divided into hormonal drugs and non-hormonal drugs.

Hormones, the most common ones in my country include visiting relatives contraceptive pills. Many contraceptive drugs need to be taken before sexual intercourse. Among them, Anti-Conception No. 53 only requires one tablet to be taken immediately after each sexual intercourse, one tablet to be taken the next morning after the first sexual intercourse, and one tablet to be taken every day thereafter. After taking fourteen tablets, the contraceptive effect is 99.5%. Other hormonal contraceptive drugs for post-natal use include simple estrogen, i.e. diethylstilbestrol, which needs to be taken for 5 days after each sexual intercourse, twice a day, 25 mg each time, with an effect of more than 99%, but the gastrointestinal reaction is severe and cannot be tolerated. There are also estrogens. Taking 0.4 mg of 18-hydroxynorhenothindrone once after sexual intercourse has an actual efficacy of 98.3%, but it has the disadvantage of non-menstrual bleeding.

The third type of hormone drugs is the combination of estrogen and oestrogen, which is called four estrogen drugs overseas. That is, the couple takes the medicine twice within 72 hours after sexual intercourse, with an interval of 12 hours. Each dose of 50 mg of ethynyl estradiol and 250 mg of 18-hydroxynorethindrone had a failure rate of 0-1.6%. Side effects are the same as before. The principle of this hormonal contraceptive after sex is not single, it can affect sperm activity and capacitation, bilateral fallopian tube motility, inhibit or delay ovulation, fertilization, corpus luteum function, uterine wall growth and development, embryo implantation and embryo development and so on.

Scientists around the world have spent a lot of energy searching for non-hormonal therapeutic drugs, but so far most of them are still in clinical trials. The only one used for humans is danazol, with a success rate of 98-99.1%.

The more ideal post-sex contraceptive pill is a menstrual regulator, which can also be called a menstrual-inducing and pregnancy-stopping drug. That is, a few days after a woman's menstrual period is due, taking this medicine can induce menarche. Even if she is pregnant, this medicine can cause a spontaneous abortion of the very early embryo. A relatively complete therapeutic drug of this type is RU486 (also known as Mifepristone) developed in the Netherlands, which has also been produced and sold in large quantities in my country.
