Causes of spotting without abdominal pain at 35 weeks of pregnancy

It takes 40 weeks for a pregnant woman to give birth. Pregnant women must be very careful in the late pregnancy and not let themselves give birth to premature babies, because premature babies are not fully developed and may have problems of one kind or another, resulting in fetal imperfections. So what is the reason for spotting but no abdominal pain at 35 weeks of pregnancy? What to do?

1. Why is there no abdominal pain after spotting at 35 weeks of pregnancy?

Seeing red refers to the discharge of a small amount of pink discharge from the vagina of some pregnant women close to delivery, which is called seeing red. Sometimes mucus plugs may also be discharged at the same time. Spotting is a reliable sign that labor is about to begin. Most pregnant women give birth within 24-48 hours. The amount of bloody spotting is very small. If it exceeds the menstrual volume, you should consider whether there is bleeding in the late pregnancy such as placenta previa.

Seeing red means bleeding. The fetus makes sounds in the abdomen and tries to break away from the mother. The amniotic membrane surrounding the fetus rubs against the uterine cavity, especially the area around the fetus's head which is prone to bleeding. The friction can cause rupture and bleeding in the uterus, which is what we often call "seeing blood".

The blood in this case is sticky and can be easily separated from abnormal bleeding. The general color is bright red or rose red. After a short period of time after discharge, it will appear dark brown and dark red. The sticking to underwear is very similar to menstruation, but it varies from person to person. During the delivery process, pain and bleeding are inevitable.

How long it takes to give birth after seeing blood varies from person to person. Generally, the delivery process begins 48 hours after seeing blood, but the delivery process of primipara is longer, usually 11-12 hours. You don't have to rush to see a doctor. You can wait until regular pain occurs before going. As the pain intervals gradually shorten, you are ready to give birth.

2. What should you pay attention to when you see blood at 35 weeks of pregnancy?

1. Pregnant women feel abdominal discomfort. In the late stages of pregnancy, the rapid growth of the uterus will cause the intestines in the lower abdomen to move upward or to the sides: sometimes the intestines will be pressed against the liver.

2. Difficulty breathing, chest tightness and shortness of breath. This symptom is very common in pregnant women, especially in the first three months. The movement of the diaphragm will be affected by the enlarged uterus. Pregnant women need to increase the depth of each breath to allow the baby to have enough oxygen. At this time, pregnant women should reduce the amount of exercise and maintain a happy mood.

3. Frequent urination and urinary incontinence. This is because the bladder is compressed and its volume is reduced in the late pregnancy. In addition, the relative position of the organs in the pelvis changes, which increases the pressure on the bladder.

4. Generally, spotting occurs 24 hours before the pain, but it may also occur repeatedly a few days before or even a week before delivery. If there is only light bleeding and the amount is small, the pregnant mother can stay at home for observation and pay attention not to work too hard and avoid excessive exercise.
