Vaginal secretions are female secretions. They are a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical canal and uterine wall glandular secretions. Their production is related to the function of female hormones. Normally, the quality and quantity of vaginal discharge changes with the menstrual cycle. After the menstrual period is over, the vaginal secretions are small in amount, white in color, and sticky. If the vaginal secretions have an odor, what medicine should be used? In the middle and late menstrual period, when the uterus and ovaries are about to ovulate, due to the active secretion of the cervical gland ducts, there is a lot of leucorrhea, which is transparent, slightly sticky, and egg white-like. 2 to 3 days after ovulation, vaginal discharge becomes turbid, thick and sticky but in small amounts. Before, during and after menstruation, due to pelvic hematoma, vaginal mucosal exudate increases and vaginal discharge usually increases. 1. Physiological vaginal discharge Normal leucorrhea is milky white, sticky or egg white-like, viscous, without fishy odor, and in small amounts. It is called physiological vaginal discharge. Due to the function of the pelvic floor muscles, the female vaginal opening is closed and the front, back, left and right walls are close together. The moisture in the vaginal secretions keeps the woman's vagina moist. This moist environment can reduce the friction between the front and back walls of the vagina and protect the inner walls of the vagina from damage. At the same time, this moist environment makes the female vagina moist and elastic, which is beneficial to improve the quality of couple's life. 2. Physiological vaginal discharge When the reproductive system is inflamed, such as vaginitis and cervicitis in acute women, or when lesions occur, the amount of vaginal discharge increases significantly and its characteristics change, which is called physiological vaginal discharge. Vaginal cleanliness The female secretions are stained with acid-fast dye and observed under an optical microscope. The cleanliness of the vaginal discharge is determined by the number of streptococci, white blood cell counts (WBC) and fungi in the vagina. There are four levels: Grade I: There are a lot of vaginal streptococci and squamous epithelial cells, no fungi, white blood cell count, clear vision, indicating normal secretions. Grade II: There are moderate amounts of streptococci and squamous epithelial cells in the vagina, as well as a small amount of white blood cells and fungi, which is still considered normal female secretions. Grade III: A small amount of streptococci and squamous epithelial cells in the vagina, and a relatively high count of fungi and white blood cells, indicating a mild case of Trichomonas vaginitis. |
