I had sex 5 times in 20 days after my cesarean section

After a caesarean section, women's bodies are very weak, and they need to take a good rest after the caesarean section. However, some women think that caesarean sections are different from natural births, and they can have sex soon after caesarean sections. Therefore, some women resume their sex lives less than a month after giving birth, and the frequency of their sex lives is very high. Is this harmful?

Is it harmful to have sex 5 times within one month after a caesarean section?

Generally, you should not have sex within 40 days after a normal delivery, and within 2 months after a caesarean section. Having sex too early after a delivery or abortion can easily lead to menstrual tuberculosis, gynecological inflammation, and uterine prolapse. Caesarean section causes surgical wounds, so it naturally takes more time for the wound to heal. Sexual intercourse must be done after the caesarean section wound has healed. You should not have sexual intercourse within two months after a caesarean section. If you do have sexual intercourse, be careful not to bump into the caesarean section wound. Your uterus has not healed completely at this time, so be gentle.

What to pay attention to after cesarean section

Strengthening self-care after surgery is very important for a smooth recovery. Intravenous infusion is required within three days after the operation to replenish water and correct dehydration. Six hours after the operation, you can eat some liquid food such as stewed eggs, egg drop soup, lotus root powder, etc. You can eat semi-liquid food such as porridge and crucian carp soup on the second day after the operation. During a caesarean section, uterine bleeding is heavy and you should pay attention to the amount of vaginal bleeding. If you find that it exceeds the amount of menstrual bleeding, notify your doctor immediately. When coughing, feeling nauseous or vomiting, you should apply pressure on both sides of the wound to prevent the stitches from breaking. Generally, the indwelling urinary catheter can be removed after the fluid replacement is completed on the second day after the operation, and urination should be timely 3 to 4 hours after removal. If you cannot urinate in bed, you should get up and go to the toilet. If you still cannot urinate, you should tell your doctor until you can urinate freely. If the body temperature exceeds 37.4℃, it is not advisable to forcibly discharge the patient. It is best to measure your temperature once every afternoon within a week after returning home.

Generally speaking, it is not recommended to have sex within one month after either a natural birth or a caesarean section. Sexual intercourse can easily cause secondary damage to the vagina or uterus or infection with other bacteria. The uterus's ability to resist bacteria is relatively low at this time. At the same time, after a caesarean section, you must pay attention to lying down and resting your body, and supplement more nutrition.
