What is the difference between upper and lower pregnancy?

Upper and lower uterus refer to the position of the fetus in the uterus. The implantation position of the fetus is related to whether the fetus can develop healthily, so we can use B-ultrasound to check the implantation position of the fetus. Under normal circumstances, the fetus is in the lower part of the abdomen, closer to the spine, concentrated in the lower part of the abdomen, and the pelvis will also become larger. You can understand the difference between upper and lower pregnancy.

1. Fetal development

In fact, it has a very big relationship with the development of the fetus. If the placenta is closer to the bottom when the fetus is developing, then the overall position of the pregnant belly may be relatively low, concentrated in the middle and lower parts. And if the fetus develops relatively quickly, then in this case it will also present a lower pregnancy situation. On the contrary, if the baby develops slowly, or the placenta is located higher up, then the pregnancy will be upward.

2. Pelvic size

In fact, it is also related to the size of the pregnant woman's pelvis. If the pregnant woman's pelvis is relatively large and wide, then the fetus will be very easy to enter the pelvis at this time, so it is very easy to form a lower-carrying shape. On the contrary, if the pelvis is relatively narrow and small, the fetus may have some difficulty entering the pelvis, so at this time it will be concentrated in the upper part to form an upper-carrying shape.

the difference

In fact, there is not much difference between the two overall, that is to say, the position of the fetus is different. On the other hand, if the pregnant woman is pregnant with an upper uterus, she may experience severe frequent urination because the pressure on the bladder is very great. But the appetite is better when eating. On the contrary, if it is due to frequent urination, the result may not be so serious. And the most important point is that you may not eat much.

Precautions for pregnancy

Since the fetus is located closer to the cervix, you need to go to the hospital for regular check-ups, usually at 16 weeks. If the cervix is found to be short, a cerclage is needed, otherwise the cervix is prone to premature rupture of the amniotic membrane. Simply put, the fetus cannot be held down, and will eventually result in what we call "premature birth." Premature birth can have a huge impact on the health of the fetus, so regular check-ups are essential.

To be more specific, for most women whose uterus grows in a "pear" shape, if the transverse abdominal muscles and fascia are relatively developed, the lateral expansion of the abdomen will be restricted to a certain extent, and it will mainly grow vertically, which will manifest as "upper pregnancy". If a woman's transverse abdominal muscles and fascia are weak, or if the fundus of her uterus is very wide and the uterus develops horizontally, it will be more likely to present as a "lower pregnancy".

If a pregnant woman has a lower back pregnancy, don't worry. There is no such saying. Pregnant women with lower back pregnancy will not have premature birth. Lower back pregnancy is mostly related to physical condition. If a pregnant woman has been pregnant once and has loose muscles in the abdomen, it is easy to have a lower back pregnancy when she gets pregnant again. Lower back pregnancy will only have some impact on pregnant women in the later stages. An overly large abdomen may make the legs uncomfortable and cause swollen feet.
