Can I drink honeysuckle tea during menstruation?

How to drink honeysuckle in water

3. Silver Flower Mint Tea

Take 10 grams each of honeysuckle and mint, brew with boiling water, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, then add appropriate amount of honey and drink. It is used to clear away heat and relieve summer heat, and eliminate prickly heat in summer.

4. Golden Flower Licorice Tea

Make tea with 15g honeysuckle and 3g raw licorice in boiling water and drink it for preventing heatstroke, cooling down, clearing away heat and quenching thirst in summer. This tea can be boiled in water and gargled to treat pharyngitis and oral ulcers.

5. Honeysuckle and rhubarb tea

10 grams of honeysuckle and 3 grams of rhubarb are brewed together to make tea and flavored with an appropriate amount of honey. It has the effects of clearing heat, purging water, moistening the intestines and promoting bowel movements, and is used to treat habitual constipation.

6. Three-flower tea

Add 10 grams each of honeysuckle and chrysanthemum and 3 grams of jasmine to boiling water to make tea for drinking. It can clear away heat and detoxify, and treat headache, thirst, and sore throat. This tea can be boiled in water and used for external washing to treat dermatitis.

7. Three-flower sea tea

4 grams of chrysanthemum, 3 grams each of honeysuckle and camellia, 3 pieces of puffed sea water, 10 grams of rock sugar, brew with boiling water for 5 minutes, drink it, 1 dose per day, for 3 consecutive days, can clear away heat and detoxify, relieve sore throat and moisten the throat, it is mainly used to treat influenza, dry, itchy and painful throat.

Taboos of drinking honeysuckle water

As we all know, honeysuckle has excellent effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying and increasing immunity. It is a very useful medicinal material and tea. However, in our daily life, there are still some taboos about drinking honeysuckle soaked in water:

1. Honeysuckle is suitable for people with a balanced constitution or internal heat. However, people with weak spleen and stomach (such as frequent abdominal pain, diarrhea, cold abdomen, cold hands and feet) should not drink honeysuckle tea.

2. Honeysuckle has a cold nature and is not suitable for long-term drinking. It is only suitable for temporary drinking in the hot summer to prevent and treat dysentery. It is particularly important to remind you that people with weak constitutions or during menstruation should not drink it, otherwise, adverse reactions may occur.

3. It is better to drink only when you feel you are getting hot. Drinking too much will have the opposite effect. When making tea, be sure to choose 10 grams of honeysuckle and brew it with boiling water and drink it frequently. But it is best not to drink it every day.

4. Soaking honeysuckle in water is similar to brewing tea. It only needs to be brewed two or three times. It should not be consumed after overnight.

The following two types of people are not suitable for drinking honeysuckle tea

1. People with spleen and stomach deficiency should use with caution

According to "Southern Yunnan Materia Medica", honeysuckle is "cold in nature and bitter in taste." Therefore, honeysuckle is cold in nature. If people with weak spleen and stomach or those who are weak and sickly drink it, it may increase the burden on the spleen and stomach, which is not good for their health.

2. Avoid eating during menstruation
