Vulvar itching is a symptom that many women experience, especially in the summer. There are many causes of vulvar itching, which is generally caused by bad hygiene habits.

Many women use salt water to wash when they have symptoms of vulvar itching. There are many reasons for vulvar itching. It is best for women to take the right medicine for the condition. Blindly taking medicine will only make the situation worse.

If you find symptoms of vulvar itching, it is best not to blindly take any food or use any washing liquid to wash it, as this may aggravate the condition. You should go to a regular hospital for a detailed examination and targeted treatment. The wash will destroy the internal environment of the vagina and cause more severe itching due to bacterial disorder.

General treatment requires attention to menstrual hygiene, keeping the vulva clean and dry, and avoid scratching. Do not wash with hot water and avoid using soap. When there is an infection, potassium permanganate solution can be used for sitting baths, but local scrubbing is strictly prohibited; clothing, especially underwear, should be loose and breathable; avoid alcohol and spicy or allergic foods; treat the cause of itching to eliminate local or systemic factors, such as trichomoniasis, fungal infection or diabetes.

Washing the vulva with salt water can achieve a certain disinfection effect for vulvar itching. It is better to have vinegar, which can relieve itching immediately, but white vinegar is best. It also needs to be rinsed repeatedly to achieve the fungicidal effect and the condition will get better. Salt water and vinegar are all effective.

Local therapy is generally combined with systemic therapy, in principle to calm itching and moisturize the skin.

Keep your vulva clean and dry. You can also use a feminine care lotion with a weak acid formula of pH 4 for local cold compresses. Both have a certain antipruritic effect. Localized pruritus can also be treated with local blockade with drugs such as triamcinolone acetonide (tetracycline), prednisolone (prednisolone), and dexamethasone. Try to avoid using large doses of topical corticosteroids for a long time or in a short period of time.
