How to calculate the number of days of pregnancy after transplantation

For some couples, it is difficult to get pregnant due to physical reasons, so they use medical technology to perform artificial insemination. Generally, after collecting sperm and eggs from both husband and wife, once artificial insemination is completed, the fertilized egg will be transplanted into the woman's uterus. When the fertilized egg successfully implants, that's it. So, how do we calculate the number of days to pregnancy after a successful transplant?

The number of days of pregnancy starts from the day of test tube transfer. Even if it starts from the day of implantation, whether it can be successful depends on subsequent blood tests and continuous observation. Guidance: After the transplant, you can rest assured and carry out appropriate activities. You don’t need to lie in bed all the time. Stay relaxed and have confidence. A good attitude is conducive to the development of the embryo. Do not do urine HCG testing on your own, as this will not provide any benefit other than increasing mental stress.

When you find out you are pregnant on the 15th day after the transplant, you are a little over 4 weeks pregnant, and the expected date of delivery is calculated from the last menstrual period.

The method for calculating the expected date of birth after IVF or artificial insemination is the same as that for natural conception. It can be calculated using the following three conventional methods:

(1) Calculate the expected date of delivery based on the last menstrual period: Starting from the first day of the last menstrual period, subtract 3 or add 9 to the month and add 7 to the day. For example, if the first day of the last menstrual period is May 31, 2001, the expected date of delivery should be March 7, 2002. If the expected date of delivery is calculated using the lunar calendar, the month is still calculated by subtracting 3 or adding 9, but the day is calculated by adding 15. For example, if the first day of the last menstrual period is April 28, 2001 in the lunar calendar, the expected date of delivery should be February 14, 2002 in the lunar calendar.

(2) Calculate the due date based on the time of fetal movement: Fetal movement refers to the movement of the fetus in the uterus that the pregnant woman feels. It usually starts between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy. The approximate due date can be calculated based on the date when the fetal movement starts and 20 weeks added.

(3) Calculate the expected date of delivery based on the date of fertilization: It takes about 265 days from fertilization to delivery. Because pregnant women undergoing artificial insemination or in vitro fertilization know the exact time of conception, the expected date of delivery can be calculated 265 days after the date of fertilization.

Physical conditions that men need to have for IVF: A very important factor in the success of IVF transplantation is the quality of the male partner's sperm. If the sperm itself has a low survival rate, IVF will be useless. The tests that need to be done include: blood test (chromosome test, antisperm antibodies, urine routine, blood routine, blood type, biochemistry, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis-specific antibodies, HIV antibodies). If the man has asthenospermia, a Y chromosome microdeletion test is required.
