The vast majority of pregnant women give birth within two weeks before or after the due date. When you have regular abdominal pain, and the intervals between pains become shorter and shorter, and the pain duration becomes longer, it indicates that delivery is imminent.

24 to 48 hours before delivery, a small amount of bloody mucus is discharged from the vagina, which is called "bloody show", or water rupture, that is, the amniotic sac in the uterus ruptures and the amniotic fluid flows out. It is also a reliable sign of labor. Spotting may last for a few days, with a small amount of discharge each day; or it may occur suddenly. If the amount of spotting is heavy and exceeds the normal menstrual volume, you should go to the hospital and contact the doctor or midwife in time.
