Pregnancy more than 20 days stomach pain

Pregnancy more than 20 days stomach pain

Having abdominal pain more than 20 days into pregnancy is a very dangerous thing. At this time, you need to judge whether there is spotting. Spotting can cause miscarriage, and you need to go to the hospital immediately to take measures to preserve the fetus. If there is no spotting, it is generally not miscarriage. It may be due to early pregnancy reaction, because the expansion of the uterus causes mild abdominal pain. Therefore, women should understand the causes of abdominal pain in early pregnancy.

1. Physiological abdominal pain (normal early pregnancy reaction)

Clinical manifestations: slight distension of the lower abdomen and mild abdominal cramps.

About a week into pregnancy, the sperm and egg have successfully combined to form a fertilized egg and will implant in the uterine cavity. During this process, the fertilized egg will bury itself deep in the endometrium so that the fetus can grow and develop normally and safely in the future. This will cause the frequency of uterine wall contractions to increase, causing mild abdominal pain.

In addition, in the early stages of pregnancy, the mother's hormone levels rise sharply, and the body needs some time to adapt to this change. During this adaptation process, the mother is prone to fever, lower abdominal pain, frequent urination, morning sickness and other discomforts. After three months of pregnancy, the hormone levels gradually stabilize, and the mother's physical discomfort will slowly recover on its own.

Therefore, if the pregnant mother experiences the above-mentioned phenomenon, she can choose to use an early pregnancy test strip or go to the hospital for a check-up to determine whether her pregnancy is successful.

2. Pathological abdominal pain

1. Diarrhea during pregnancy

Clinical manifestations: increased frequency of bowel movements, accompanied by abdominal pain and burning pain in the anus during bowel movements.

In the early stages of pregnancy, the mother's body secretes vigorous estrogen and progesterone, and her gastrointestinal system function declines, thereby inhibiting the peristalsis of the small intestine, weakening the gastrointestinal digestive ability, and prolonging the time to empty food. If during this period, the mother eats unclean food, spoiled food, or suffers from thyroid disease, it is easy to cause diarrhea, stomach pain and other phenomena.

If not treated promptly, not only will the burden on the pregnant mother's organs increase, but the embryo may also suffer from problems such as intrauterine growth retardation and malnutrition. If the situation is not particularly serious, just pay attention to your diet. If the situation is serious, you need to go to the hospital immediately.

2. Gynecological inflammation

Clinical manifestations: abdominal pain on the right side and increased secretions in the private parts, with the color of the secretions changing from white and transparent to yellow or turquoise.

In the early stages of pregnancy, the mother's body resistance decreases and her ability to resist germs weakens. In addition, during pregnancy, the mother's hormones, vaginal acidity and alkalinity, immunity, etc. will be affected. The reproduction rate of fungi will also increase rapidly due to the increase in urine sugar. Therefore, it is easy to be infected with gynecological inflammation. If not treated in time, it may affect the development of the fetus.

3. Ectopic pregnancy

Clinical manifestations: severe pain on the left or right side of the lower abdomen, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, etc.

It usually occurs in the 8th to 9th week of pregnancy because this is the critical period for the fertilized egg to move from the fallopian tube to the inner wall of the uterus. Under normal circumstances, the fertilized egg will grow and develop in the inner wall of the uterus and develop into an embryo and form a placenta. If the fertilized egg travels in the fallopian tube for too long or its trajectory deviates, it will miss the time to develop in the uterine wall, causing the fertilized egg to implant and develop in the fallopian tube, which will result in an ectopic pregnancy.

Because the fertilized egg implants in the wrong position, as the embryo grows larger, it will compress the fallopian tube and even cause it to rupture. The pregnant mother will feel tearing pain on the left or right side of the lower abdomen, and will also experience nausea and other physical discomforts.

Therefore, it is recommended that pregnant mothers go to the hospital for an ultrasound examination as soon as possible within 8 to 9 weeks of pregnancy to check the implantation site of the gestational sac to avoid ectopic pregnancy.

4. Threatened abortion

Clinical manifestations: persistent lower abdominal pain accompanied by a small amount of vaginal bleeding.

In the early stages of pregnancy, the embryo develops unstably. At this time, due to some external factors (such as diet, medication, bacterial infection, etc.) or the mother herself (mental stress, certain diseases, physical fatigue, etc.), the pregnant mother may experience threatened miscarriage, causing persistent lower abdominal pain, bloating, etc. It is recommended that pregnant mothers go to the hospital for check-up in time, and pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue.
