How to check follicles

How to check follicles

Follicles refer to a normal secretion of women, and the chance of women getting pregnant during ovulation is very high. However, in life, many women are prone to some physical problems, which lead to pregnancy not being very smooth. They need to check the follicles medically. The main way to check the follicles is to detect whether there are problems with the follicles. You can go to the hospital for follicle monitoring to make a judgment.

How to check follicles?

Nowadays, many people cannot get pregnant successfully due to genetics or other reasons. In response to this situation, many women choose to undergo various examinations before having children. Checking the quality of ovulation is a very important item.

How to do follicle monitoring

Follicle monitoring is mainly aimed at female patients with infertility symptoms. It needs to start about a week after the woman's menstruation. It is usually performed with the help of abdominal or vaginal B-ultrasound instruments, and continuous monitoring is required for about three times. Women will only release normal eggs after the follicles mature. If there are symptoms of follicular hypoplasia, serious consequences such as threatened abortion and stillbirth may occur after pregnancy. Patients can choose to use ovulation-inducing drugs for conditioning and should undergo relevant gynecological examinations regularly.

The best time to do follicle monitoring

We all know that only when women ovulate normally and sperm and eggs can combine successfully can we become pregnant successfully. So if you want to detect follicles, you can do B-ultrasound monitoring once every 2 days starting from the 8th day of the menstrual cycle. However, there are many factors that can affect ovulation, so the most important thing for couples is to go to the hospital for a more comprehensive examination, so that they can know whether they can become pregnant successfully.

For some women whose pregnancy conditions are not very good, they can go to the hospital for this monitoring before preparing to have a child. In addition, you must choose a good time before doing it, and try to avoid the menstrual period. It is best to go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination on the eighth day after the end of menstruation. If you meet the conditions, then monitor according to the doctor's requirements.

How to check follicles

Basal follicle-stimulating hormone is also called background follicle-stimulating hormone. During the initial stage of follicle growth, 0-3 days after the start of the menstrual cycle, the granulosa cells in the follicles have not yet begun to secrete estrogen in large quantities, and the feedback regulation of the pituitary gland and ovaries is in its initial stage. The follicle-stimulating hormone concentration measured at this stage becomes the basal follicle-stimulating hormone level. The basal follicle-stimulating hormone level directly reflects the secretory function of the ovaries and is an important indicator for clinical evaluation of ovarian function. Excessive basal follicle-stimulating hormone levels reflect poor ovarian secretory function. After puberty begins, basal FSH levels

Gradually increases with age

Check the basal follicles

Generally speaking, starting from the 8th day of the menstrual cycle, ultrasound monitoring should be done once every 2 days. When the diameter of the follicle is found to be 17 mm, monitoring should be changed to once a day. When the follicle matures and reaches a diameter of 20-23 mm, it should be measured twice a day if necessary until ovulation. The B-ultrasound probe frequency is 3.5MHz. Each monitoring is to observe the size and shape of both ovaries, record the number and size of follicles, the day of menstruation, etc.

There are many ways to monitor ovulation, including basal body temperature measurement, ovulation test strip monitoring, ultrasound monitoring, etc. Among them, ultrasound is the most accurate method to monitor the development of follicles. It can continuously and dynamically observe the morphological changes of follicles, understand the whole process of follicle development and ovulation, and determine whether ovulation has occurred. Ultrasonic monitoring of ovulation usually begins on the twelfth day of the menstrual cycle, with continuous ultrasound observation every other day. If there is a dominant follicle, track the follicle. If the follicle continues to grow and then suddenly disappears, it is considered to have ovulated, and the chances of pregnancy during this period are high. If the follicle does not grow as desired, or grows to a certain extent and then gradually decreases, it is considered an ovulation disorder and ovulation induction treatment is required.
