Amniotic fluid sound

Amniotic fluid is also an important substance produced by pregnant women during pregnancy. It can play a very good protective role for the fetus in the belly, and the amount of amniotic fluid in pregnant women in each period of pregnancy is also different. Generally speaking, as the pregnancy period of a pregnant woman gradually increases, the amount of amniotic fluid will gradually increase. During the prenatal check-up, amniotic fluid examination is also an important part. What does it mean if the doctor says that the amniotic fluid sound is good?

What does amniotic fluid sound mean?

Good amniotic fluid sound transparency is certainly a good phenomenon, indicating that the growth environment of the fetus is good. If the amniotic fluid sound transparency is poor, it is not good. In the late pregnancy, if the amniotic fluid sound transparency is poor, the amniotic fluid may be turbid. If it is in the early or mid-pregnancy, it may be because of problems with the fetal quality.

What are the components of amniotic fluid?

The components of amniotic fluid include water, inorganic salts, shed fetal cells, and organic hormone tissue, of which water accounts for 98%. The weight of amniotic fluid will increase with the increase of pregnancy period. At the 20th week of pregnancy, the average amount of amniotic fluid is 500 ml, and at about the 28th week of pregnancy, it will increase to 700 ml. At the 32nd to 36th week of pregnancy, the amount of amniotic fluid is the largest, about 1,000 to 1,500 ml. In the following stages of pregnancy, the amount of amniotic fluid will gradually decrease. Therefore, clinically it is normal for the amount of amniotic fluid to be between 300 and 2,000 ml. If it exceeds this range, it is called polyhydramnios, and if it does not reach this range, it is called oligohydramnios. Both polyhydramnios and oligohydramnios must be paid special attention to, as they may be caused by abnormal conditions of the fetus.

What does it mean when the amniotic fluid sound transparency is good? If the amniotic fluid sound transparency is good, it means that the growth environment of the fetus is very good. Only when the amniotic fluid sound transparency is poor, it is a bad phenomenon. It may be that the amniotic fluid is turbid or there is a problem with the fetal quality. Amniotic fluid is very important for the growth and development of the fetus and has a protective effect, so it must be dealt with in time when abnormalities occur.
