Recurrent bacterial vaginitis

Recurrent bacterial vaginitis

Bacillus vaginitis is a common gynecological disease that is prone to recurrence, especially in women who have sexual life. In fact, it is not terrible to have fungal vaginitis. As long as you receive symptomatic treatment and scientific care, you can generally stay away from the troubles of fungal vaginitis. So what should you do if you have recurring bacterial vaginitis? Let us take a brief look at it below.

The radical cure of fungal vaginitis:

1. Change the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina, such as flushing the vagina with alkaline drugs, or flushing the vagina with 2-4% soda solution to change the living environment of mold.

2. Administration of fungicides:

(1) Nystatin vaginal suppository (containing 250,000 U of nystatin) is inserted deep into the vagina once in the morning and evening or once every night for 2 weeks.

(2) Take 500,000 U of nystatin orally, 4 times a day.

(3) Apply compound nystatin cold cream topically twice a day.

(4) Take ketoconazole 400 mg orally, twice a day for 5 days.

(5) Trichomycin. For details, see Treatment of Trichomonas vaginitis. In addition, oral administration of clotrimazole or clobendazole 0.5-1g 3 times a day, or topical application of 1-5% ointment, cream or lotion 3-4 times a day, also has good therapeutic effects.

(6) Topical application of 1-2% gentian violet solution is a long-standing treatment method that is very effective and widely used, but it has the disadvantage of staining underwear.

Pregnant women with candidal vaginitis may recover after delivery, but the newborn is at risk of infection, so timely treatment is still needed, preferably with local medication, using the same method as above.

3. External ointment: Apply clotrimazole ointment or daktarin ointment externally to treat vulvitis caused by fungal infection and relieve symptoms of vulvar itching and pain. Apply externally several times daily for 2 weeks. Yifuqing Ointment is made of econazole as the main drug, with a small amount of local steroid therapeutic agent added. It has a good antipruritic effect and is more suitable for people with candidal vulvitis and vaginitis who have unbearable vulvar itching and pain. Apply externally to the vulva, once in the morning and once in the evening.

4. Oral medication: Since fungal infections can be transmitted between couples through sexual intercourse, both parties can be treated with oral medication, which can also inhibit intestinal Candida. Fluconazole oral dose: 150 mg once, taken all at once. Or take Sporanox orally: If it is the first infection of candidal vaginitis, take 200 mg each time, take it after breakfast and dinner, and only take it for 1 day; if it is recurrent candidal vaginitis, the dosage of Sporanox needs to be increased, you can take 200 mg each time, once a day, for 3 consecutive days, or you can take it twice a day, 100 mg each time, for 3 consecutive days. Take the medicine after meals.

5. Treatment with Chinese herbal medicine: Use Chinese herbal decoctions that have the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, killing insects and relieving itching to fumigate and wash the vulva, which can not only relieve symptoms but also inhibit and eliminate Candida albicans. Since the patient's vulvar itching, pain and burning symptoms are significantly alleviated after fumigation, it is more suitable for women with acute candidal vaginitis and can relieve the patient's pain. In addition, Chinese herbal medicines can be made into powders or suppositories and applied vaginally.

6. Male carriers must also receive routine treatment, which is one of the important measures to prevent recurrence in female patients.

After treatment, candidal vaginitis still needs to be rechecked after each menstruation. The disease is considered cured only if the leucorrhea test shows no abnormalities for three consecutive times and there are no discomfort symptoms.

What are the causes of recurrent attacks:

1. Failure to follow the doctor's advice for regular treatment and follow-up;

2. Frequent or long-term use of antibiotics

3. Wear tight pants, use sanitary pads or wash basins for a long time.

4. The blood sugar of diabetic patients is not controlled, which leads to increased acidity in the vagina and long-term urine sugar, which provides favorable conditions for the growth of Candida albicans.

5. Poor hygiene habits, washing underwear and socks together causes self-infection; wiping from the anus to the urethra after defecation may bring Candida in the intestines into the vagina, repeatedly causing candidal vaginitis.

1. Avoid spicy food. Spicy foods include chili peppers, ginger, onions, garlic, etc. Eating too much of them can easily cause dryness and heat, which can cause heat and toxins to accumulate in the internal organs, resulting in symptoms such as swollen and painful gums, mouth sores, short and red urine, burning sensation in the anus, and itchy and painful front and back of the vulva, thus aggravating the symptoms of this disease.

2. Avoid seafood that may cause irritation. Fishy foods, such as shrimp, mandarin fish, black fish, hairtail, yellow croaker, crab and other aquatic products can promote damp heat, aggravate vulvar itching after eating, and are not conducive to the disappearance of inflammation, so they should be avoided.
