Brown discharge at 10 weeks pregnant

Brown discharge at 10 weeks pregnant

If brown discharge appears at ten weeks of pregnancy, you must pay attention at this time, because ten weeks of pregnancy is in the early stages of pregnancy and the fetus is not stable at this time. If you do not pay attention to good conditioning, it is easy to induce miscarriage. If brown discharge appears at this time and abdominal pain occurs, you must go to the hospital for examination in time to avoid miscarriage.

Brown discharge at 10 weeks pregnant

If brown discharge occurs intermittently, you should temporarily avoid sexual intercourse, otherwise there is a risk of miscarriage. In the early stages of pregnancy, the fertilized egg (embryo) fails to implant in the uterus and is in the early stages of development. The placenta has not yet fully developed and the connection between the placenta and the uterine wall is not yet stable. If you have sexual intercourse at this time, the uterus will be vibrated, which can easily cause the placenta to fall off and cause miscarriage. If you engage in sexual intercourse at an early age, the prostaglandins contained in the semen may cause the uterus to contract and the cervix to relax, which, combined with the stimulation during sexual intercourse, may lead to miscarriage. Sexual activity should still be avoided during the first 10 weeks.

Brown discharge during pregnancy

1. Threatened abortion: The main symptoms are pregnancy bleeding and abdominal pain in early pregnancy. Generally, during the threatened abortion stage, vaginal bleeding is less and abdominal pain is mild. If there is no abnormality in the fetal development, the bleeding will stop after pregnancy preservation treatment and the pregnancy can continue.

2. Vaginal Trichomonas infection: This infection can easily cause an increase in leucorrhea, accompanied by a foul odor, and itching of the genitals. It is generally believed that this infection is a type of sexually transmitted disease, which can easily be transmitted between sexual partners. During treatment, the sexual partners must be treated at the same time to prevent cross-infection and achieve a complete cure.

3. Ectopic pregnancy: Vaginal bleeding usually occurs about 40 days after amenorrhea, often accompanied by dull pain, bloating, and heaviness in the lower abdomen. At this time, a urine pregnancy test may be positive, while an ultrasound examination may not reveal the embryonic sac of pregnancy in the uterine cavity, and abnormal tumors may often be found in the fallopian tube.

Causes of brown discharge during early pregnancy

1. Stimulated menstruation. Some female friends found out that they were pregnant, but they had brown discharge and thought it was menstruation. In fact, this is stimulated menstruation. It is harmless to the health of pregnant women and fetuses and usually occurs within three months of pregnancy.

2. Biochemical pregnancy. Biochemical pregnancy is called subclinical abortion or hidden abortion, which is mainly caused by the failure of the fertilized egg to implant. The characteristic of biochemical pregnancy is that the HCG value is relatively high, and the urine test with early pregnancy test paper will also be positive, but the gestational sac cannot be detected by B-ultrasound. At the same time, brown secretions will appear, and normal menstruation will come afterwards.

3. Cervical disease. The appearance of brown discharge in the early stages of pregnancy is also related to cervical disease. For example, if brown discharge appears after sexual intercourse, it is basically related to cervical erosion. In addition to cervical erosion, cervical polyps can also cause brown discharge.

4. Ectopic pregnancy. If the fertilized egg does not implant in the uterine cavity but pregnancy occurs, after excluding biochemical pregnancy, it will be diagnosed as ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy is characterized by brown discharge and abdominal pain that continues to get worse. Ectopic pregnancy needs to be treated promptly, otherwise it will cause great harm. If brown discharge occurs after pregnancy, it must be taken seriously. It is best to go to a regular hospital for diagnosis in time. After finding the cause, effective measures should be taken for treatment to avoid causing more serious harm to women's health.
