What to do if you are tired during the seventh month of pregnancy

What to do if you are tired during the seventh month of pregnancy

During the pregnancy period, female friends will feel that they have no strength in their whole body, always feel sleepy, and can't muster any energy. At this time, they must pay attention to getting enough rest and sleep. You can give yourself more sleep, which can also make your metabolism speed faster and prevent more energy consumption.

Fatigue during pregnancy is caused by both physical and mental factors.

1. Pregnant women worry about their babies’ undernutrition, so they tend to eat too much, which leads to rapid weight gain. Due to the increase in weight, especially in the late pregnancy, it takes a lot of physical strength to carry a belly weighing more than ten or twenty kilograms every day.

The metabolism of expectant mothers speeds up, consuming a lot of energy, so they are prone to fatigue.

2. Since becoming pregnant, you have started to worry about whether the baby is healthy and whether your body is in a good state for pregnancy, which causes excessive psychological pressure and poor sleep. Especially when you feel uncomfortable or frequently get up to go to the toilet at night, the quality of sleep will be further affected.

3. Because it is pregnancy, people are worried about miscarriage and dare not exercise, especially pregnant women who have experienced miscarriage. In the early stages of pregnancy, they almost stay in bed and dare not move.

4. The baby's development requires more nutrition, and daily intake of some trace elements is difficult to meet the needs of pregnant women and babies.

All of these factors combined can cause pregnancy fatigue, and you may feel like your day is as difficult as a marathon.

Follow your body’s natural needs

You can start going to bed earlier and make it a habit to take a nap every day. Even a 15-minute nap can make all the difference, so if you have a private office, close the door in the middle of the day and take a nap at your desk. You can also think of other ways: find an empty lounge or meeting room, or simply take a nap on the table. Your colleagues around you will understand that you are suffering from pregnancy fatigue.

Weight control

Gaining less weight does not mean malnutrition. Don't listen to those around you who have never given birth and nag you to eat more. The health of the child does not depend on how fat the pregnant woman is. Doctors and B-ultrasound are the only criteria for diagnosis. Moreover, these days there are no malnourished pregnant women, only overnourished pregnant women. If pregnant mothers gain more than 15 kg in weight, the incidence of macrosomia will be 7.46%, which can easily lead to dystocia and the risk of cesarean section is three times the normal risk. You can take a proper walk, but if you have any danger signs, such as a low placenta, low amniotic fluid, bleeding or abdominal pain, you should lie down and rest as advised by your doctor, and don't try to be brave.

Try to adjust your schedule

Cancel unnecessary social activities and put housework aside for the time being. If you need to travel for work, see if you can shorten your workday or bring some of your work home on weekends so that you can occasionally leave early during the week or take an occasional day off during the week (or, if you're not feeling well, call in sick). If you are not at work now and feel tired, feel free to take a break. Learn how to reduce fatigue during your commute.

Exercise moderately every day

You may feel like you have a hard time even getting through the day, let alone exercising. But in fact, moderate exercise, like short walks, can actually make you feel better. Taking breaks several times a day to stretch and take deep breaths can help you shake off fatigue and get through this period more easily.
