What should I do if the ultrasound monitoring shows no follicles?

B-ultrasound is a method often used in clinical practice to check physical health. Generally, women go for B-ultrasound, while men do it relatively less often. Because once married, women may have gynecological problems, so it is necessary to use B-ultrasound to check where the problem is. So the question is, what if the B-ultrasound monitoring of follicles does not detect it?

If no follicles are detected during B-ultrasound monitoring, it may be that the monitoring time is wrong. Generally, B-ultrasound monitoring is performed once every 2 days starting from the 8th day of the menstrual cycle. When the diameter of the follicle is found to be 17 mm, monitoring should be changed to once a day. When the follicle matures and reaches a diameter of 20-23 mm, monitoring should be performed twice a day if necessary until ovulation. The B-ultrasound probe frequency is 3.5MHz. Each monitoring is to observe the size and shape of both ovaries, record the number and size of follicles, the day of menstruation, etc.

The importance of monitoring follicles with ultrasound

The main function of the ovaries is to produce eggs. Well-developed follicles and accurate ovulation date lay the foundation for eugenics and good parenting. During the diagnosis of infertility, it is often necessary to monitor the follicles to see if there is normal ovarian growth, development, and discharge. This examination seems troublesome, but it is very important and has important clinical significance.

If the time of measuring follicles is not right, it may result in failure to detect follicles by B-ultrasound. When monitoring follicles, you must pay attention to the time. The monitoring must start from the 8th day of the menstrual cycle. Follicle monitoring must be done continuously. As for the specific monitoring time, it depends on the development of the follicles. Only when the follicles are monitored to maturity can the monitoring be continued.
