Will the fetal position change after seven months?

Generally, you can feel fetal movement when you are four months pregnant. At this time, the fetus can feel the mother's emotions. Fetal movements have a certain duration and frequency, and they also convey information to the outside world about whether the child is healthy. Generally, during pregnancy checkups, the fetal position will be checked, especially before delivery, because this affects whether the pregnant woman can give birth naturally. So will the fetal position change after seven months?

The fetus has changed position at 7 months. Malposition of the fetus generally refers to the abnormal position of the fetus in the uterus after 30 weeks of pregnancy. It is more common in expectant mothers and multiparous women with loose abdominal walls. Malpositions of the fetus include breech presentation, transverse presentation, occiput posterior presentation, and facial presentation. Among them, breech presentation is more common, and transverse presentation has the most serious impact on expectant mothers and fetuses.

If the fetal position is abnormal after seven and a half months of pregnancy and it cannot be corrected by the due date, a caesarean section should be considered.

The posture of the fetus in the womb before birth is very important. Medicine also uses fetal position as one of the bases for choosing the mode of delivery. The more appropriate time to adjust the fetal position is 30-32 weeks of pregnancy.

Most expectant mothers hope that their babies can be born naturally. However, they are suddenly told that the fetus is in an abnormal position and the umbilical cord is entangled. In this case, the fetal position cannot be corrected and they can only let nature take its course. If the fetus can correct its position through its own movements, then it can be delivered naturally. If it cannot, then surgery is the only option.

If the umbilical cord is not wrapped around the neck, the mother can do the knee-chest position. The expectant mother should empty her bladder, loosen her belt, and lie on a hard bed with her knees on the bed, her hips raised high, her thighs perpendicular to the bed, and her chest as close to the bed as possible. Do it once in the morning and once in the evening every day, each time for 15 minutes, for 1 week. After one week, go to the hospital to check whether it has been corrected. It is best to sleep on your left side.
