Most women need to undergo curettage after ectopic pregnancy surgery, because curettage is a thorough cleanup of some garbage in the uterus for women, but it will also make the uterus of women very fragile, and even some women will become infertile for life because of curettage. In order for women to have a healthy environment, they must rest well. So why do ectopic pregnancy require curettage? Ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy process in which the fertilized egg implants and develops outside the uterine cavity. Commonly known as ectopic pregnancy. The most common type of pregnancy is tubal pregnancy. The cause of the disease is often due to inflammation in the fallopian tube lumen or its surroundings, which causes poor patency of the lumen, hindering the normal operation of the fertilized egg, causing it to stay in the fallopian tube to implant and develop, leading to miscarriage or rupture of the fallopian tube pregnancy. There are often no obvious symptoms before miscarriage or rupture, but there may also be amenorrhea, abdominal pain, and a small amount of vaginal bleeding. After rupture, symptoms include acute and severe abdominal pain, repeated attacks, vaginal bleeding, and even shock. Examination often shows signs of intra-abdominal bleeding and a mass next to the uterus. Ultrasound examination can assist in diagnosis. The treatment is mainly surgical. While correcting the shock, laparotomy is performed and the fallopian tube on the affected side is removed. If the fertility function is to be preserved, the fallopian tube can also be cut open to remove the fertilized egg. A few mild cases can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine. TCM etiology and pathology Although there is no exact record of the pathogenesis of ectopic pregnancy in traditional Chinese medicine in medical works of all dynasties, based on its clinical manifestations and signs, combined with modern medicine's understanding of the disease, the etiology and pathogenesis are discussed as follows: The uterus is the organ that nurtures the fetus, and the uterus is interconnected with the internal organs, qi and blood, and meridians through the uterine vessels. Only when the Qi and blood flow smoothly in the cell's veins can the embryo develop in the cell after conception. If the flow of qi and blood in the uterine vessels is not smooth, the embryo will not be able to reach the uterus and an ectopic pregnancy will occur. Common causes of poor uterine blood vessels include congenital kidney deficiency, Chong and Ren qi and blood imbalance; or liver depression, qi stagnation and blood stasis, or damp-heat stagnation causing damp-heat stagnation in the uterine blood vessels, resulting in poor uterine blood vessels or blockage, leading to extrauterine pregnancy and the occurrence of this disease. As the embryo grows, the blood vessels burst and blood overflows from the vessels, causing blood accumulation in the lower abdomen. If the amount of blood loss is large and Qi is consumed, it may lead to symptoms of Qi deficiency and blood stasis or Qi and blood collapse. If blood stasis is not dispersed, it will accumulate over time and cause disease, resulting in scars and blood clots in the blood vessels or lower abdomen. (a) Not damaged 1. Qi stagnation and blood stasis. Depression or emotional problems can lead to stagnation of the liver meridian, stagnation of qi and blood, and poor blood circulation. 2. Damp-heat and blood stasis. If there is dampness and heat, or the residual blood has not been cleared during menstruation or after childbirth, and sexual intercourse is not controlled, it will lead to infection with dampness and heat or dampness and toxicity. The dampness and heat and toxicity will block the uterine vessels, affecting the circulation of qi and blood in the uterine vessels, resulting in poor flow of the uterine vessels. 3. Kidney deficiency and blood stasis. Congenital deficiency of kidney qi, or early marriage, and excessive sexual intercourse damage kidney qi, resulting in imbalance of Chong and Ren qi and blood, and obstruction of uterine vessels; or qi deficiency and blood stasis, or inability to transport eggs, and the fertilized egg cannot reach the uterus in time. The above three causes can all lead to blockage of the fertilized egg, or failure to reach the uterus in time, resulting in blockage of the fertilized egg. Although the fertilized egg has not grown in the uterus, the pregnancy has occurred, so menstruation has stopped; because the fertilized egg is outside the uterus, it blocks the uterine vessels, and the circulation of qi and blood is not smooth, so there is dull pain in the lower abdomen; the fertilized egg is stagnant in the uterine vessels, so a lump can be felt locally; the fertilized egg is stagnant outside the organ, its growth is hindered, so it is restless or dies, and there is vaginal bleeding. |
