What happens when you are ten days pregnant?

Early pregnancy is also called early pregnancy. This only occurs in the first three months after conception in the early stage of embryo formation. Because the body has not fully accepted this state, some small reaction symptoms will appear. In the first ten days of pregnancy, some people do not show any symptoms, but some people will feel sleepy, always feel dizzy, very weak, and have poor appetite. These are all caused by early pregnancy.

Early pregnancy, also known as early pregnancy, refers to the first three months after conception. This period is the stage of embryo formation, so it can also be called the embryonic period. If a woman of childbearing age has a history of sexual activity and regular menstrual cycles, pregnancy should be suspected if her period is overdue for 10 days or more. If menstruation has not stopped for 8 weeks, pregnancy is more likely. Amenorrhea may be the earliest and most important symptom of pregnancy. Of course, amenorrhea does not necessarily mean pregnancy.

What are the early pregnancy symptoms and examination methods?

Symptoms of early pregnancy

1. Early pregnancy reaction. About half of women experience chills, dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness, loss of appetite, preference for sour food or aversion to greasy food, nausea, and vomiting in the morning about 6 weeks after menstruation. This is called early pregnancy reaction. Nausea and morning vomiting may be related to increased HCG in the body, decreased gastric acid secretion, and prolonged gastric emptying time, and usually disappear on their own around 12 weeks of pregnancy.

2. Amenorrhea. Even if a breastfeeding woman has not resumed her menstruation, she may still become pregnant again.

3. Frequent urination. Frequent urination occurs in early pregnancy due to the enlarged, anteverted uterus pressing on the bladder in the pelvis. About 12 weeks after pregnancy, the uterus enters the abdominal cavity and the bladder pressure symptoms are relieved.

4. Changes in breasts. Starting from the 8th week of pregnancy, the breasts gradually enlarge due to the increase in estrogen and progesterone. Pregnant women will feel mild breast tenderness and nipple pain, which is more obvious in primigravidas. Once a lactating woman becomes pregnant, her milk supply often decreases significantly. The nipple and the surrounding skin become darker in color, and nodules appear around the areola.

Early pregnancy test methods

1. Early pregnancy test: The advent of early pregnancy test has brought great convenience to the diagnosis of early pregnancy. This test has the advantages of being fast, convenient, sensitive and highly specific. It is worth noting that if women of childbearing age experience amenorrhea, they cannot rely solely on a single pregnancy test to determine whether they are pregnant. The most reliable thing is to go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination in time, especially for those with weak positive results, so that measures can be taken as soon as possible.

2. Basal body temperature measurement: This is the simplest and easiest method. Measure your body temperature in bed every morning after waking up. The temperature at this time is called basal body temperature. Generally, the body temperature is below 36.5 degrees before ovulation. After ovulation, the progesterone level rises and acts on the body temperature center, causing the body temperature to rise by 0.3-0.5 degrees. If you are pregnant, progesterone levels remain high, keeping your body temperature high as well. If the high temperature curve phenomenon in the basal body temperature persists for more than 18 days, early pregnancy can generally be confirmed.

3. B-ultrasound examination: Using B-ultrasound to diagnose early pregnancy is the most accurate and reliable method. It can be confirmed as early as the 5th week of pregnancy, which is one week after the menstrual period. A round halo can be seen in the uterus on the B-ultrasound screen, and yolk can be seen.

4. HCG pregnancy test: The urine pregnancy test is conducted by professional technicians in the hospital's laboratory department using testing instruments to test the patient's urine specimens. If human chorionic gonadotropin is detected in the urine, it normally indicates pregnancy. Urine samples must be collected from morning urine, because morning urine is concentrated and has higher hormone levels. In order to increase the positive rate of the test, you should try to reduce your water intake the night before.
