Can I have sex if I have uterine prolapse?

Uterine prolapse is a serious problem for women. When women have uterine prolapse, their pregnancy function will be affected to a certain extent, and they are particularly prone to miscarriage. Therefore, in order to avoid their own diseases, women should avoid having sex with their sexual partners during the treatment of gynecological diseases. So, can women with uterine prolapse have sex?

Sexual health

1. If there is no severe eczema on the vulva and the prolapsed uterus can be retracted, you can have sexual intercourse. If a pessary is placed and becomes incarcerated and cannot be removed, sexual intercourse is not possible. It can be removed and put in smoothly without interfering with sexual intercourse. Patients who undergo surgical treatment can resume sexual intercourse 6 weeks after the operation.

2. For those who wear a pessary, remove the pessary before sexual intercourse, clean it and set it aside for later use. At the same time, wash away the secretions before having sex. For those with eczema, apply tetracycline cortisone ointment after cleaning and then have sex, discharge semen immediately, clean the vulva, and rest after applying the ointment. For itching, take 4 mg of promethazine before going to bed.

3. In order to achieve pleasure during sexual intercourse, you need to adopt the appropriate posture to enhance friction. The side-lying position for women can have a certain effect. In addition, the woman can also try lying on her back with her thighs bent and raised. Doing more caressing before sexual intercourse can also enhance pleasure.

4. When resuming sexual intercourse after vaginal hysterectomy, the penis should not be inserted too quickly, too deep, or too quickly. After 2-3 times, there will be no discomfort or abnormality and you can have normal sexual intercourse. There may be bleeding or pain during rigid intercourse, which is mostly caused by granulation tissue in the vaginal wound. You should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment the next day.

5. It is still possible to conceive with conservative treatment, but contraceptive measures should be implemented during sexual intercourse. It is not advisable to insert an IUD because it can cause heavier menstruation and is prone to falling off and infection. You can use condoms or birth control pills.

6. Reproductive health care. There are also people who have uterine prolapse but have not given birth. These people are often accompanied by sagging internal organs, are thin, or work hard and stand for a long time; after returning home, they are busy with housework, which causes uterine prolapse, and most of them are grade II. If you want to have children, you should take the following measures to take good care of yourself.

(1) Before pregnancy, intensify pelvic floor muscle exercises: contract the anus 3 times a day, 30 times each time, or cross your legs and do sit-up activities 3 times a day, 30 times each time. At the same time, do physical exercise, improve nutrition and enhance physical fitness. And pay attention to the combination of work and rest to avoid overwork. At the same time, take Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang, 1 spoon each time, twice a day, orally, for 3 consecutive months. Through these methods, it is expected that the uterus will be quickly retracted and conception can then be considered.

(2) During the first three months of pregnancy, avoid being too tired and not standing for long periods of time to prevent the uterus from falling off again. After 3 months of pregnancy, the uterus moves out of the pelvic cavity, which helps the uterus to return to the normal position, and standing work can be increased. In case it sags again, it is not advisable to increase the workload.

(3) Natural delivery is possible during the delivery period. It is important to do a good job of painless delivery, that is, the first stage of labor, and it is not advisable to exhale too early; if you exhale at this time, it will cause the uterus to prolapse after delivery. Gasping should be done during the second stage of labor, when the cervix is fully dilated and at the peak of each contraction, gasping should be done with force to assist the descent of the fetal head. After delivery, be sure to cooperate with the doctor to repair the perineal incision and avoid infection.
