Four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound picture of finger deformity

In our daily life, we can see many deformed people. These people are mainly caused by the deformed sperm of their parents when they were in the womb, but they were not checked or paid attention to during pregnancy. Nowadays, technology is relatively advanced, and children's conditions can be observed through four-dimensional color ultrasound. So, can four-dimensional color ultrasound show the deformities of the baby’s hands and feet?

Can 4D color Doppler ultrasound show the deformity of the baby's hands and feet?

The full name of four-dimensional color ultrasound is four-dimensional color ultrasound examination instrument, which is the world's most advanced color ultrasound equipment. Because four-dimensional color ultrasound can display surface images, developmental malformations such as cleft lip and palate, incomplete limb development, meningeal herniation, spina bifida, and abdominal cleft can be detected more clearly. The diagnostic data of four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound can also help doctors make judgments. It is most important to check the growth and development of the fetus and screen for congenital diseases.

Four-dimensional color ultrasound can observe the growth and development of the fetus in the uterine cavity from all directions and angles, providing accurate scientific evidence for the early diagnosis of congenital epidermal malformations and congenital heart diseases of the fetus. It can display real-time dynamic images of your unborn baby, or real-time dynamic images of other internal organs of the human body, and can also show the deformities of the fetus's hands and feet.

Compared with other ultrasonic diagnosis processes, it can observe the dynamic movement of internal organs of the human body in real time. Clinicians and anesthesiologists can test and detect a wide variety of abnormalities, from vascular malformations to genetic syndromes. The excellent ergonomic design of the four-dimensional color ultrasound scanner does not emit radiation, microwaves, radio waves, etc., and has no impact on human health.

How to read 4D color Doppler ultrasound

1. Fetal head position

Check the four-dimensional color ultrasound report to see whether the fetal head contour is complete. If it is damaged or deformed, it is abnormal. If the brain center line is not moved and there is no hydrocephalus, it is normal. Accurate measurement of the biparietal diameter of the fetal head is an indicator for estimating gestational age and fetal quality. From the 26th to the 36th week of pregnancy, the biparietal diameter of the fetus increases by an average of 0.22 cm per week. After 36 weeks of pregnancy, the rate of increase in the fetal biparietal diameter slows down gradually, increasing only 0.1 cm per week. The biparietal diameter of a full-term fetus is between eight and ten centimeters.

Fetal biparietal diameter can also predict fetal weight. If the biparietal diameter of the fetus reaches more than 8.5 cm, the baby's weight exceeds 2,500 grams. If the biparietal diameter of the fetus is between 9.1 and 10 cm, the baby's weight is between 3,276 and 3,925 grams. If the biparietal diameter of the fetus exceeds 10 cm, the weight of the newborn baby is more than 4 kg.

2. Fetal heartbeat

If the fetal heartbeat is strong, it is normal. If it is weak, there are two possibilities: one is that the fetus is sleeping, and the other is an abnormality. The normal fetal heart rate is 120 to 160 beats per minute.

3. Embryo

The normal thickness of the embryo should be between 25 and 50 mm. In the four-dimensional color ultrasound examination report, the placental maturity is divided into four levels: 0, Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ based on the changes in hcg, embryonic spot, and basement membrane. The assessment of embryos indicates the quality indicators of embryos. Normal early pregnancy is mostly manifested as grade 0, which is the growth and development stage of the embryo. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, as the embryo matures, the stage develops from level I to level III. After thirty-seven weeks of pregnancy, most embryos are grade III. Therefore, the embryo is grade III embryo. Therefore, embryo grade III can be used as a reference for fetal quality indicators.

4. Fetal umbilical cord

Under normal circumstances, the fetal umbilical cord should float in the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman. If the fetal umbilical cord image is seen on the fetal neck, it may be that the fetal umbilical cord is wrapped around the neck.

5. Femoral head length

The standard value of the length of the fetus's thigh bone should be less than 20 to 30 mm different from the biparietal diameter of the fetus in the corresponding month of pregnancy.

6. Amniotic fluid of pregnant women

The depth of amniotic fluid is normal between three and seven centimeters. More than seven centimeters means that the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman is increased, and less than three centimeters means that the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman is decreased, both of which are not good for the growth and development of the fetus.
