Taking medicine to induce labor at five months of pregnancy

When the pregnancy reaches five months, most women begin to have a visible belly. At this time, if you want to stop the pregnancy, you can only choose to induce labor, because when inducing labor in the hospital, if there are some unexpected situations, you can still make timely remedies, and if you do a medical abortion, it is more dangerous, because the fetus is relatively large and it is likely to cause heavy bleeding. So, is it okay to take medicine for induced labor in five months of pregnancy?

Generally speaking, there is a certain risk in inducing labor during the fifth month of pregnancy. It should be noted that this induced abortion operation requires going to the local regular hospital's gynecology department for a physical examination first, and then the operation. There are many things that women need to pay attention to after induced abortion, especially within one month after the operation. Sexual intercourse and bathing in a tub are prohibited. You can wash your hair with warm water, but if you take a bath, you must avoid catching a cold.

If it is induced labor, there are many side effects after taking the medicine before. Some women may experience dizziness and drowsiness, which should be normal. If a woman has induced labor, it will cause great harm to her body. If you have induced labor, you must pay attention to proper conditioning.

Precautions before and after induced labor: Pregnant women must abstain from sexual intercourse for 1 week before induced labor, take a bath, especially clean the lower abdomen and genitals; doctors should strictly perform aseptic operations during induced labor; if there is vaginal bleeding or fever after induced labor, the cause should be found out, and residual tissue in the uterine cavity should be removed to stop bleeding and avoid the presence of infection sources. Once a patient develops a fever, a bacterial culture should be done and large doses of antibiotics should be given to control the infection. Serious complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease, peritonitis or sepsis should also be avoided.

During mid-term induced labor, the placenta has already formed, the fetus is larger, and the bones have become harder. The cervix needs to be fully dilated during delivery. Induced labor is equivalent to a birth. After a successful induction of labor, you usually have to stay in the hospital for observation for 3 days. The doctor will give necessary treatment based on the situation of the induced labor. If there is no abnormality, you can be discharged after 3 days.

Rest for at least one month after induced abortion and avoid fatigue. Sexual intercourse is prohibited within one month after induced abortion, and attention should be paid to keeping clean. Go to the hospital for a follow-up examination after one month and implement contraceptive measures.
