Urinalysis is an indispensable part of pregnancy checkup. It can analyze the components in urine. Some pregnant women are found to have 1+ urine protein in the test results. This symbol indicates that the amount of urethral white blood cell has increased. If it is not treated, it can cause dizziness, headache, vomiting and other conditions in pregnant women. Of course, there are also some diseases that will cause the pregnant woman to have 10 urine protein. So what is the matter with 10 urine protein in pregnant women? First, what is the matter with 10% protein in the urine of pregnant women? Protein is detected when urine becomes turbid after being acidified and heated. The normal range of 24-hour urine protein is ≤0.15g, and routine laboratory tests show a negative result (i.e. a minus sign). If the urine protein test is > 150 mg/day, that is, when the urine protein is positive (i.e. a plus sign), it means that the amount of urine protein excreted by the human body has increased significantly, which is abnormal urine protein. Second, since the urine protein test only measures the results of a single urine test, it is easily affected by the concentration and dilution of the urine and often cannot accurately reflect the degree of proteinuria. When lesions occur in the glomeruli and renal tubules, such as in various stages of nephritis, kidney disease, and renal artery sclerosis caused by hypertension, proteinuria may occur. Third, various bacterial infections, such as pyelonephritis, renal tuberculosis, sepsis, etc., can also cause proteinuria. Non-infectious diseases such as kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease, renal amyloidosis, shock, severe muscle injury, fever, jaundice, hyperthyroidism, hemolytic anemia and leukemia can also cause proteinuria. What happens if a pregnant woman has urine protein of 10? Physiological protein is common. Temporary proteinuria may occur after a high-protein diet, mental excitement, strenuous exercise, prolonged cold, pregnancy, etc., but the qualitative quality of urine protein generally does not exceed (+). In other words, persistent proteinuria often means that there is a disease in the kidneys. However, the amount of urine protein cannot reflect the severity of the disease. For example, in the late stage of glomerular disease, due to the loss of a large number of renal units, protein filtration is reduced, and the urine protein test will decrease or disappear. This does not mean that the kidney disease has been alleviated. |
