Endometrial cystic hyperplasia

Endometrial cystic hyperplasia

Many women have not been able to get pregnant and have children several years after marriage. This is related to the occurrence of endometrial cystic hyperplasia. Endometrial hyperplasia is divided into several types, including simple and complex types. Any of these types may lead to infertility. In addition, endometrial glandular cystic growth may also become malignant, so when this problem is detected, you must cooperate with the doctor to actively treat it.

What is Endometrial Hyperplasia?

The vast majority of endometrial hyperplasia is a reversible lesion or remains a persistent benign state, and only a few cases may develop into cancer after a long time interval.

Three types of endometrial hyperplasia

1. Simple hyperplasia: Both the endometrial glands and stroma proliferate, with the glands significantly increasing in number, varying in size, and unevenly distributed. Occasionally, the glands are enlarged into cysts, and the glandular epithelial cells are columnar, lack secretion, and are often arranged in pseudostratified layers. Mitotic figures are common. The interstitial cells are densely packed. The chance of developing endometrial cancer is only about 1%.

2. Complex hyperplasia: The glands proliferate significantly, are crowded, and have a complex structure, with adjacent glands appearing back to back. Due to the hyperplasia of glandular epithelium, it may grow in a papillary shape into the glandular cavity or in a budding manner into the stroma. Due to the obvious glandular hyperplasia, the stroma is reduced, and about 3% may develop into endometrial adenocarcinoma.

3. Atypical hyperplasia: refers to glandular hyperplasia with atypical cells. It is manifested in the technology of simple or complex hyperplasia, with proliferation of glandular epithelial cells, increased layers, disordered cell polarity, increased volume, increased nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio, dark staining of nuclei, and the presence of nuclear division images. Atypical endometrial hyperplasia is sometimes difficult to differentiate from well-differentiated adenocarcinoma, mainly because the former does not show stromal infiltration. Some people believe that it is a precancerous change of endometrial adenocarcinoma.

What is Endometrial Cystic Hyperplasia?

Hello, the endometrium itself proliferates and thickens under the action of estrogen, and the endometrium sheds and bleeds during menstruation. Cystic hyperplasia is a benign growth and is not a serious disease, but if it is very thick it may cause heavy bleeding.

How to prevent endometrial cystic hyperplasia?

1. Female friends should keep warm and avoid cold stimulation. In particular, the lower body should be protected from cold, and attention should be paid to keeping the lower abdomen, waist and feet warm to avoid endometrial hyperplasia. During menstruation, women should not sit on cold stools for a long time. Pay attention to keeping your feet warm. Don't expose your legs too early or wear short skirts too early in spring and summer. If you wear a skirt, it is best to wear thick wool socks underneath to prevent coldness from coming from your feet.

2. Female friends should avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, fried or greasy food. They should drink more boiled water and keep their bowel movements smooth. People with qi and blood deficiency must increase their nutrition in daily life and can eat more chicken, beef and mutton. Pay attention to your menstrual period. If you experience irregular menstruation, irregular vaginal bleeding, etc., you should go to the hospital for examination in time. In daily life, pay attention to keeping warm, maintaining a happy mood, avoiding eating raw, cold and spicy foods, and drinking more boiled water, which can effectively prevent endometrial hyperplasia.

3. Keep a happy spirit and avoid mental stimulation and mood swings. Relax your mind and avoid long-term mental stress. Maintain a regular schedule, go to bed early and get up early, exercise appropriately, and avoid smoking and drinking. Avoid overwork and it is best not to work more than 10 hours a day. Prevent endometrial hyperplasia.

4. Menopausal women are also at high risk of endometrial hyperplasia. If you experience menstrual disorders or irregular vaginal bleeding, seek medical attention promptly. Do not choose hormone replacement therapy without authorization, and do not take hemostatic drugs indiscriminately to avoid masking the condition. These are all important issues in the prevention of endometrial hyperplasia. To prevent endometrial hyperplasia, female friends should pay more attention to life details, participate in more physical exercise, and maintain a good attitude towards life. Taking soy supplements for more than five years can increase the risk of endometrial hyperplasia, a thickening of the uterus that can lead to cancer. Therefore, female friends who like to eat soy products should be careful not to consume them in excess.
