What should your body temperature be after ovulation?

The ovulation period is the best time to conceive. At this time, you can judge whether it is the ovulation period based on the body temperature. However, many female friends may wonder what body temperature is suitable for conception. In fact, you can conceive during the ovulation period. As long as you relax, be prepared, pay attention to the frequency of sexual intercourse and hygiene, normal conception is possible. Let’s take a look at the changes in body temperature after ovulation.

What is the body temperature after ovulation to get pregnant?

After a woman becomes pregnant, her luteinizing hormone rises. Generally, the basal body temperature of women in the follicular phase is 36.5°C, and the body temperature will rise by more than 0.5°C during the luteal phase. It is a normal physiological phenomenon for pregnant women to have an increased body temperature in the early stages of pregnancy. Pregnant women can pay attention to changes in their body temperature and use this to infer that they are pregnant. If you find abnormal changes in body temperature, you should go to the hospital for examination in time to rule out potential diseases. If the temperature exceeds 38 degrees, you must pay close attention and drink more warm water.

Generally speaking, the body temperature of pregnant women will rise in the early stages of pregnancy, and after the second trimester (13 weeks of pregnancy), the body temperature will return to its original normal state. A woman's body temperature will rise after pregnancy, generally between 36.9℃-37.2℃, and about 37.5 to 38 degrees is normal. If this high temperature period lasts for more than 21 days and there are no other abnormal reactions, no menstruation, and even early pregnancy reactions, it can generally be considered a sign of pregnancy.

Pregnant women generally have a slightly higher body temperature. In the early stages of pregnancy, the body temperature is measured by comparing the low and high temperatures. As long as the difference between the high and low temperatures is more than 0.3-0.5 degrees, it is normal. If the temperature is high, it may be a fever, such as fever in early pregnancy, and it may be caused by a virus. If the body temperature fluctuates, it should be taken seriously, especially for patients with habitual miscarriage, who should take timely measures.

Causes of high body temperature during early pregnancy

Reasons for high body temperature in early pregnancy:

1. Neurological aspect: The "sensors" in women's skin are more sensitive than those in men's, and women have the mission of reproducing offspring. During pregnancy, the fetus in the uterus needs a constant temperature environment, and the uterus is inside the torso, so the woman's torso needs to be more carefully protected. To achieve this goal, the "sensors" in women's skin must be more sensitive

2. Hormones: The female ovary forms a corpus luteum, which secretes progesterone, which will cause the body temperature to rise. The body temperature regulation center is extremely sensitive to the effects of progesterone (also known as progesterone). A certain amount of progesterone (12,8nmol/L) can cause the body temperature to rise.

3. Women have higher body fat than men, which may also be a reason. The period from the first day of menstruation to the ovulation period is called the low temperature period, and after ovulation, it enters the high temperature period. A higher temperature in early pregnancy will persist. In the first 1-3 months of pregnancy, the expectant mother's body temperature will be at a higher level. If the measurement results show that your body temperature is slightly higher than usual for 20 consecutive days and remains high, you are very likely pregnant.

4. The body temperature in early pregnancy is measured after eliminating all interference. Therefore, the requirements for measurement are relatively strict. For example, it should be after 5-6 hours of continuous deep sleep, and there should be no movement after waking up. Otherwise, the measured temperature is useless.
