What medicine should I take for breast calcification?

What medicine should I take for breast calcification?

Breast calcification is a symptom that has certain predictive significance for breast hyperplasia. Breast calcification is a relatively dangerous symptom for female patients, because if it is not treated in time, it may turn into breast cancer. Of course, prevention is better than cure, and breast calcification can be prevented through certain methods. Below, we will introduce you to the relevant knowledge about breast calcification in detail!

1. Causes

There are many factors that can lead to breast calcification, such as tissue degeneration, necrosis and calcium salt deposition. Some tumors secrete substances containing calcium salts, causing calcification of the tissue around blood vessels. Analyzing the morphology, number, location and relationship of calcifications with surrounding structures is of great help in identifying the nature of the lesions.

2. Examination and diagnosis

The equipment used is a digital breast X-ray machine, and the projection positions are the superior and inferior axial and external oblique positions of both breasts. X-ray films are reviewed by experienced physicians to determine whether there are lumps in the breast area, analyze the morphology of the lumps, and focus on observing whether there is calcification. And record the location, amount, shape and distribution of calcification in detail.

3. Treatment and Nursing

1. The incidence of breast cancer calcification:

Breast hyperplasia and calcification is one of the common imaging manifestations of breast cancer. Certain specific forms of breast hyperplasia and calcification are risk factors for breast cancer. Statistics show that 65% of breast cancers have calcification, of which 70% are malignant calcifications.

2. The only X-ray sign of early breast cancer

Clustered microcalcifications are often the only X-ray sign of early breast cancer. The morphology, size, number and density of microcalcifications can reflect the nature and extent of the lesion. Tiny calcifications may be located inside or around the mass, with a total number of 6 to 15, with uneven density and varying sizes.

Mammography can improve the diagnosis rate of occult cancer, microcancer (less than 10mm in diameter) and early cancer. It is difficult to characterize a mass with a diameter less than 10 mm, but fine sand-type calcification is often a warning sign of malignant lesions. If there are signs such as surrounding structural disorder, bilateral asymmetry, and thickened vascular shadows at the same time, the possibility of malignant lesions is greater.

4. Preventive health care

Women are advised to exercise and do self-examination, and avoid smoking and drinking. Women with a family history of breast cancer are advised to avoid hormonal drugs to prevent them from increasing the risk of breast cancer.

In fact, due to ideological factors, many women only consider diagnosis and treatment after they discover a lump themselves, which results in delaying the best time for treatment. Therefore, female citizens over 30 years old are advised to undergo a breast X-ray examination once a year or two to keep abreast of their physical condition.
