There is always blood after menstruation

There is always blood after menstruation

When women have their period, the amount of bleeding is generally heavy, but after the period ends, there will be no more bleeding in the private parts. However, some women find that their menstruation has ended, but there is still blood in their private parts. If a woman still has blood after her menstruation has ended, she should check whether her body is inflamed and receive specific treatment. So, what should I do if there is always blood after my period?

What is the reason for bleeding after menstruation is over?

Non-pathological causes

There are many reasons for bleeding after menstruation. The first non-pathological reason is bleeding during the female ovulation period. Because the endometrium will be torn when the woman is ovulating, bleeding will occur after the menstruation ends, but the amount of blood is not large and the bleeding time is relatively short. If the amount of bleeding is large, other pathological factors need to be considered.

Pathological causes

If a woman who has had sex experiences bleeding after her menstrual period, it can basically be confirmed that she has uterine inflammation. The most obvious manifestation of pelvic effusion is the outflow of some blood within 10 days after the end of menstruation. This situation may also occur if you suffer from cervical erosion.

Bleeding after the menstrual period can also be considered as a hormonal disorder. When considering the situation of bleeding after the end of menstruation, you should also consider the situation of leucorrhea.

What is the cause of a small amount of bleeding during the non-menstrual period?

Why do women experience a small amount of bleeding outside of their menstrual period? I believe very few people know this. Therefore, let’s take a look at the reasons for a small amount of bleeding during non-menstrual period.

1. Ovulation bleeding

What Western medicine calls ovulation bleeding is called "intermenstrual bleeding" in traditional Chinese medicine. This is due to a temporary drop in estrogen levels, which causes the endometrium to lose hormonal support and partially shed, causing regular vaginal bleeding.

This type of bleeding is generally not in large amounts. Some people only experience a small amount of brown discharge. It usually lasts for half a day or 2-3 days, and no more than 7 days at most. It may be accompanied by mild ovulation pain and back pain.

This bleeding usually occurs during the transition from low temperature to high temperature, so if the symptoms are mild, no treatment is required. However, if the symptoms are obvious, it may affect fertility, so systematic treatment is required.

2. Functional uterine bleeding

Functional uterine bleeding is abbreviated as DUB. This disease is relatively common in clinical practice, mainly caused by endocrine dysfunction that regulates reproductive nerves, and usually manifests as: irregular menstruation, excessive menstrual flow, long menstrual cycles or irregular bleeding.

The principle of treatment is to stop bleeding quickly, adjust and establish a normal menstrual cycle after stopping bleeding, and prevent recurrence. Due to long-term bleeding, some women also suffer from anemia to varying degrees, so it is also important to treat anemia.

3. Delayed menstruation

Do not simply think that this is a delay in menstruation. You should pay attention to whether the amount, color, and duration of bleeding are the same as usual.

If the menstrual blood is sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes not, and is accompanied by abdominal pain, you need to pay attention to the possibility of ectopic pregnancy or threatened abortion; if the bleeding is more than usual, lasts longer, and the dysmenorrhea is obvious, it is more common in uterine fibroids or endometriosis. You should go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of a regular hospital in time.

4. Contact bleeding

If bleeding symptoms occur during sexual intercourse, it may be caused by gynecological diseases, such as vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, etc.

Bleeding after menstruation must be a cause of concern. After this happens, you should check in time to rule out diseases. Therefore, pay attention to the changes in menstruation!
