Pregnant woman wakes up with hand joint pain

Pregnant woman wakes up with hand joint pain

If a pregnant woman experiences pain in her hand joints after waking up, this is quite common in life. There are many reasons for this pain, the most common of which is rheumatism. Rheumatism often causes joint pain. During this period, due to the influence of female estrogen secretion, this pain is prone to occur. At this time, you should emphasize treatment to avoid catching cold, and massage your finger joints regularly.

Pregnant woman wakes up with hand joint pain

1. During pregnancy, women's bodies experience an increase in endocrine hormones such as estrogen and prolactin, which often causes a decrease in the elasticity and strength of muscles and tendons. The tension of the joint capsules and ligaments near the joints also decreases, causing joint relaxation and pain in the finger and wrist joints, similar to symptoms of aseptic arthritis.

2. High blood pressure during pregnancy, especially in the middle and late stages, puts a heavy burden on the heart, lungs, and kidneys, causing edema, which is more likely to be obvious locally, especially in the extremities.

3. In preparation for delivery, the endocrine system causes the joints and ligaments to relax, which is commonly known as bone opening. Therefore, not only the hands, but also the waist, legs, feet and pelvis will gradually feel uncomfortable in the late pregnancy. This is absolutely normal. If any abnormal situation occurs, or if any part of the body is particularly uncomfortable, you should consult a doctor in time.

When does pregnancy reaction start?

1. Most women may experience dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness, increased salivation, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting after 6 weeks of pregnancy. Vomiting often occurs in the early morning or on an empty stomach. Some pregnant women particularly like to eat acidic and cold foods. The above phenomena are called early pregnancy reactions, which usually disappear on their own around 12 weeks after pregnancy. A few people have more severe early pregnancy reactions and they last longer.

2. Increased urination frequency: After 8 weeks of pregnancy, there may be an increase in urination frequency, which is caused by the compression and stimulation of the bladder after the enlarged uterus. After 12 weeks of pregnancy, the uterus extends beyond the pelvic cavity, the bladder is no longer compressed and stimulated, and the urinary frequency symptoms will be relieved on their own.

3. Breast changes: After pregnancy, under the joint stimulation of estrogen and progesterone, starting from the 8th week, the breasts gradually grow larger, the color of the nipples and areola deepens, and dark brown nodules appear around the nipples. After 12 weeks, a small amount of clear milk will be secreted.

The doctor has a detailed understanding of finger joint pain during pregnancy and pregnancy reactions. After becoming pregnant, pregnant women should learn more about pregnancy knowledge. Many strange phenomena will occur during pregnancy. Only when pregnant women learn and understand them, they will not be nervous often. I wish you a happy pregnancy!
