Redness, swelling and pain in the nipples are common in life and there are many causes, especially during breastfeeding. Improper feeding or improper sucking by the baby may cause redness, swelling and pain. When this happens, you should emphasize care and can relieve the symptoms through hot and cold compresses. In addition, you should avoid chapped nipple skin and prevent bacterial infection.

Red and sore nipples

1. Generally, it is not allowed. Breast pain is often characterized by distension or stabbing pain, which may affect one or both breasts, with one side being more severe. Those with severe pain should not touch the breast, and it may even affect their daily life and work. The pain may radiate to the ipsilateral armpit or shoulder and back, and some may manifest as nipple pain or itching.

2. Breast pain often occurs or worsens a few days before menstruation, and the pain is significantly reduced or disappears after menstruation. The pain may also fluctuate with mood changes, fatigue, and weather changes. It is mostly caused by cracked nipple skin and bacterial infection. Stop breastfeeding to prevent the nipple skin from being bitten by the baby again. Clean the nipple and areola regularly with saline solution to avoid adverse nipple stimulation. If there is no improvement after treatment and the child is nearly 6 months old, you can consider weaning off breast milk and replacing feeding with milk products. If it is a deep breast abscess, the entire breast may become swollen, painful, and have a high fever, but the local skin redness, swelling, and fluctuation are not obvious, and a puncture is required for a definitive diagnosis.

In fact, whether children or adults, girls should be better to their bodies. Because how good you are to it is how many surprises it will give you in return. Especially the lack of hygiene and care led to such a result.
