What are the symptoms of breast inflammation?

In life, many children grow up eating their mother's breast milk when they are young, and some mothers' breasts may have some diseases, which can easily cause the mother's nipple inflammation. When the mother's nipple is inflamed, the child should not eat breast milk anymore, because such breast milk may contain some harmful substances. So what are the symptoms of female nipple inflammation?

What are the symptoms of breast inflammation?

First: After the mastitis ruptures and pus is discharged, the pus drainage is smooth, the swelling and pain can be reduced, and the disease will heal. Acute mastitis is often accompanied by enlarged and tender axillary lymph nodes on the affected side; the total white blood cell count and neutrophil count increase. If mastitis is not treated properly, the abscess may penetrate the loose connective tissue in front of the pectoralis major fascia and form a retromammary abscess; or milk may overflow from the wound and cause milk leakage; in severe cases of mastitis, sepsis may occur.

Second: Diagnosis of mastitis: Breast disease: easily confused with the lump-type mastitis in non-lactation period. However, most patients with breast disease are middle-aged and elderly people. The course of the disease is intermittent. The lumps are firm and have unclear borders. There are often skin lumps and inverted nipples. Axillary lymph node metastasis is likely to occur. The skin of the lumps is not red, swollen or painful, and no abscesses occur, so it can usually be identified.

Third: For some individual cases, the final diagnosis still needs to rely on pathological sections. Plasma cell mastitis: It is also common in middle-aged and elderly people. In the early stage of the disease, there are often symptoms and signs of duct dilatation, such as nipple discharge, beaded nodules in the areola area, etc. The lesions often affect both sides. Pathological biopsy can confirm the diagnosis.

Precautions

Acute mastitis caused by milk stasis during lactation should be treated actively in the early stages. Proper breast massage plays an important role in dredging milk ducts, expelling fermented bean curd, reducing swelling and dispersing lumps. Timely treatment of infection associated with nipple fissure.
