Symptoms of uterine prolapse

Symptoms of uterine prolapse

In our lives, many women have some gynecological diseases. Most women's gynecological diseases will affect the female uterus, so they must be treated in time. Some women may suffer from symptoms of uterine prolapse, that is, the uterus will fall off and is not in the normal position. In fact, this situation is more serious for women and will affect women's pregnancy. So what are the symptoms of female uterine prolapse?

Uterine prolapse is actually what is clinically called uterine prolapse. The inner wall of the uterus cannot contract and recover well, and it sags into the vagina. In severe cases, it may extend outside the body. The uterus is a bag-like tissue that nourishes the fetus during pregnancy. It is usually fixed in the pelvic cavity. However, once it sags for various reasons, it will cause various uncomfortable symptoms.

Uterine prolapse can be divided into three grades. The first stage is mild uterine prolapse - the cervical opening drops below the sacral ridge and has not yet reached the vaginal opening. The second level is moderate uterine prolapse - usually when the abdomen is pushed, the cervix or uterus will prolapse to near the vaginal opening. The third level is severe uterine prolapse - when the abdomen is exerted, the cervix or uterus will fall outside the vaginal opening. Sometimes it is complete uterine prolapse, and the entire uterus falls out.

Common symptoms of uterine prolapse are as follows:

1. Feeling pain in the lower back, pressure in the pelvic cavity, and a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen.

2. Feeling pain during sexual intercourse.

3. The patient reported that a spherical object had fallen out of the vagina. In severe cases of prolapse, the object would remain outside the vagina all day and could not be put back in by itself. The patient felt discomfort due to friction with clothes when walking. After long-term friction, ulcers, infections, increased secretions, and even bleeding occurred. Over time, the local tissue became thickened and keratinized. If the patient feels a protrusion in the lower body, it means the situation is very serious. Severe patients may have difficulty walking due to uterine prolapse.

4. Severe patients may have difficulty walking due to uterine prolapse.

5. Because there is a bladder in front of the uterus and a rectum behind it, once it sags, urination or defecation problems may occur. For most patients with uterine prolapse, when they laugh, cough violently, or exert themselves, the abdominal pressure suddenly increases, causing urinary incontinence and urine overflow. There are also constipation, abdominal distension, and difficulty in defecation. When the uterus prolapses to the second or third degree, the posterior wall of the vagina may also bulge, and the rectum will bulge as well, becoming S-shaped. Stool cannot pass smoothly, causing constipation and difficulty in defecation. Sometimes, if the abdomen is bent too much, it is difficult for air to pass through and farts cannot be released, which causes abdominal bloating.

So, how to treat uterine prolapse? There are many ways to treat uterine prolapse. Such as pessary therapy, drug therapy, exercise therapy and so on. Women with uterine prolapse should find out the cause as soon as possible and receive targeted treatment based on the condition. As long as the treatment is timely, it can be cured quickly. It should be noted that surgical treatment must be performed in a regular professional hospital to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment.
