Pain location map of female cholecystitis

Where is the pain of cholecystitis? We often have abdominal pain, but usually don't pay attention to it. In fact, in many cases it is a pain caused by cholecystitis. So where is cholecystitis?

Pain location of cholecystitis

The gallbladder is located in the outer edge of the ribs in the right upper abdomen, a pear-shaped pouch structure behind the liver. The gallbladder has the function of extracting and storing bile, but it does not metabolize bile. Bile is metabolized by the liver. The gallbladder is divided into four parts: base, body, neck, and duct. The neck is connected to the cystic duct. The gallbladder wall is composed of three layers: mucosa, muscularis, and adventitia.

The gallbladder is mostly oval in shape. When measured by ultrasound, the size of the gallbladder is no more than 9 cm in long diameter and 2 to 3 cm in wide diameter. The gallbladder moves with inhalation and may appear larger or smaller, appearing and disappearing. The size of the gallbladder is 5.4X2.2cm, 5.4 is less than 9cm, and 2.2 is between 2 and 3cm. The size of the gallbladder is within the normal range.

1. The gallbladder is the "extraction and processing plant" of bile

The liver secretes 800-1000ml of bile every day. The gallbladder cannot accommodate such a large amount of bile, but the gallbladder has a unique extraction function, which can absorb the water in the original dilute bile and extract the hepatic bile by 30 times, that is, gallbladder bile. Most of the substances and electrolytes in the orange-yellow alkaline bile are absorbed by the gallbladder mucosa and returned to the blood, leaving the bile components stored in the gallbladder, turning into brown-black or brown-green acidic gallbladder bile. Therefore, the gallbladder is the "extraction and processing factory" of bile.

2. Gallbladder can store bile

The gallbladder can both store and excrete bile, which is the main function of the gallbladder. When the stomach is empty, bile enters the gallbladder and is stored in the gallbladder. When the digestion needs to be done, the bile is discharged from the gallbladder.

Bile excretion is regulated by blood elements and the central nervous system. After a meal, the content of cholecystokinin increases, and cholecystokinin has the function of contracting the gallbladder, the lower part of the gallbladder and the dilation of the ampulla of the pancreas. After the gallbladder is contracted, it can produce an air pressure of 2.94 kPa, which promotes the discharge of bile into the duodenum to help the digestion and absorption of fat. However, when the cholecystitis or the dilation function of the ampulla of the pancreas is unbalanced, the discharge of bile is hindered, the bile is blocked, and the solid components are precipitated, which becomes one of the causes of gallbladder polyps or stones.

Common questions about diet for cholecystitis

Many cases of cholecystitis are caused by a diet that is too greasy, so the diet for cholecystitis is very important. Pregnant patients should pay more attention to their diet. So, many people want to know, what can't you eat if you have cholecystitis?

For patients with cholecystitis, daily meals should be based on light, easy-to-digest foods, and they should drink plenty of water to dilute bile. Some irritating foods, such as chili peppers, curry sauce, mustard sauce, etc., should not be eaten, as these foods are very bad for cholecystitis. Also, in daily diet, effective cooking methods should be used. When cooking, cooking methods such as boiling, braising, steaming, stewing, braising, and braising should be used as much as possible. It is best not to use cooking methods such as stir-frying, frying, and frying. Because high-temperature vegetable oils contain cracking substances such as acrolein, which can irritate the bile duct and cause acute bile duct spasm. In addition, after eating fat, the gallbladder contracts, and pain, even severe pain, nausea, etc. appear in the right upper abdomen. Therefore, patients with cholecystitis should limit the amount of edible oil and reduce the intake of animal fat and cholesterol, such as white meat, vegetable oil and so on. In case of acute symptoms, limit intake to 20-30 grams per day, and within the period of improvement, limit intake to 50-60 grams per day.

Also, when eating, remember to pay attention to hygiene and try to avoid or don't eat those unlicensed street vendors to avoid bacterial infection. In addition to these foods, some drinks such as alcohol and coffee should be strictly prohibited.
