Nipple soreness is divided into different stages. The pain that occurs at different stages often has different causes. A typical example is during puberty, when the breasts are growing and there is no need to worry too much. Nipple pain during menstruation is related to excessive secretion of estrogen. It will recover after the menstruation ends, or it may be during pregnancy. These are all normal phenomena. There are some other reasons introduced as follows. 1. Pubertal development. If a woman finds herself having nipple pain between the ages of 14 and 18, it is mostly because the nipple is developing and therefore painful. Most symptoms occur during menstruation. If the underwear is tight, the pain will be further aggravated. 2. Menstrual period. During menstruation, women's estrogen secretion changes compared to before. At this time, they may experience swelling and pain in the breasts and nipples. Some women also experience nipple cracks during breastfeeding or nipple bites from the baby, which can also cause nipple pain. 3. Other diseases. Nipple pain may also be pathological, such as breast cancer, papilloma, breast hyperplasia, etc. At this time, you need to go to the hospital for examination. 4. The pain occurs about three to seven days before menstruation, and gradually decreases or disappears after menstruation. The degree of pain is not consistent from month to month. It is often a heavy and swollen pain, or a dull pain. Occasionally, it is a needle-like pain, accompanied by tender breast nodules. It is aggravated by compression activities or lifting heavy objects. This is related to the increase in hormone and progesterone secretion before menstruation. This is a physiological pain that often does not require special treatment. 5. Nipple pain may be pathological. If nipple pain occurs at times other than before menstruation and during menstruation, it may be breast hyperplasia, papilloma, breast cancer, etc., and you should seek medical attention in time. You can also do a self-check. Method: Raise one hand, and use the other hand to press circles around the breast on the side where the hand is raised, starting from the edge, to feel for lumps. 6. Premenstrual breast pain is a common problem for many women. Before menstruation, the body's estrogen secretion surges, causing the breasts to swell and ache, and the nipples will also feel pain. What's worse, light touch, vibration, or friction will cause pain. These symptoms will continue until the end of menstruation and then gradually disappear. Before menstruation, you should learn to relax and be in a good mood. You can massage your breasts and nipples appropriately. 7. Due to changes in estrogen in the body, pregnant women experience breast hyperplasia, breast swelling, and nipple pain. As the pregnancy progresses, the symptoms become increasingly obvious, and you may find that your bra sizes are several sizes larger. You cannot receive any treatment or take any medicine during pregnancy, but applying hot compress with a towel can effectively relieve the symptoms of nipple pain, and you will feel very relaxed after the application. |
