Vaginal inflammation is what we often call vaginitis, which is mainly caused by inflammation of the vulvar mucosa. After the problem of vaginitis occurs, the patient will feel tingling and burning in his or her vagina, and this feeling is more obvious when urinating. Vaginitis is quite common and if not treated properly it may lead to a series of complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease. Then it is more important to check for vaginitis. Can the common urine test achieve this goal? Urine tests cannot detect vaginitis. Vaginitis requires the following examinations: 1. Gynecological examination: Through routine gynecological examinations, preliminary screening for possible sexual diseases is performed, and secretion samples are taken for necessary examinations. 2. Vaginal secretion examination: Check the cleanliness of the vagina and whether there is infection with fungi, trichomonas, or bacteria (clue cells, pus cells). 3. Vaginal secretion culture: Check which pathogen is causing the infection and provide doctors with accurate diagnosis basis. 4. Drug sensitivity test: detect which drugs the pathogens are sensitive to, so that targeted medication can be used to improve treatment effects. The vagina of a healthy woman has a natural defense against the invasion of pathogens and will not become inflamed. However, when the natural defense function of the vagina is damaged, pathogens can easily invade, causing vaginitis. There are many pathogens that cause vaginitis, including bacteria, viruses, protozoa, Candida, Chlamydia, etc. The most common vaginal infections in clinical practice are bacterial vaginosis caused by a variety of bacteria, as well as infections caused by Trichomonas and Candida albicans. 1. Diabetes Urine tests can detect diabetes. Diabetes is a persistent hyperglycemia caused by the combined effects of genetic and environmental factors, which leads to insulin secretion disorders or peripheral tissue resistance to insulin. This is because the patient is in a metabolic syndrome in which the metabolic disorder causes damage to tissues and organs throughout the body for a long time. Diabetic renal failure is the most common chronic complication of diabetes, especially common in patients with diabetes for many years. High blood sugar can cause abnormal biochemical composition of the glomeruli, leading to leakage of plasma proteins, glomerular sclerosis, and promote the development of diabetic renal failure. 2. Kidney stones Urine tests can also detect whether there are stones in your kidneys. Kidney stones are a common disease of the urinary system, which often occurs in men, especially young and middle-aged people. Most patients with kidney stones will experience lower back pain to varying degrees. The stones are large and have little mobility, and may also manifest as soreness and discomfort in the lower back. Calcium oxalate is the most common component of urinary stones, and calcium oxalate stones are related to our daily diet. Common high-oxalate foods include black tea, chocolate, nuts, broccoli, spinach, etc. Excessive intake of these foods will increase the oxalate content in urine and may cause calcium oxalate stones. The latest research suggests that consuming normal amounts of these foods does not cause significant stone formation. Most calcium oxalate stones are caused by the combined effects of many factors, such as the patient's own metabolic problems and abnormalities in the urinary tract system itself. 3. Acute cystitis Urine tests can also detect acute cystitis, which is an acute inflammatory disease of the bladder wall caused by nonspecific bacterial infection. It is a common disease of the urinary system. The characteristics of acute cystitis are rapid onset, severe bladder irritation, and mild systemic reactions. 4. Nephritis Urine tests can detect chronic nephritis. Nephritis is not a disease, but a type of disease. The cause and pathogenesis are not particularly clear at present, but most types are related to immune diseases caused by antigen-antibody reactions in the patient's body. Cellular immunity may also play a certain role in the onset of certain nephritis in the human body. The antigens that cause nephritis can be divided into two types: endogenous and exogenous. |
