Friends on WeChat Moments post their mileage every day, marathon races are broadcast live on TV for no reason, big stars and bigwigs take pride in jogging, and social media is full of jogging secrets and detailed introductions to weapons and equipment. In the future, these sexy, charming and stylish people will definitely be those who love jogging or other fitness exercises!

With the continuous acceleration of our pace of life and the continuous increase of pressure, jogging has become the simplest and most effective way for us to relieve stress and ensure physical and mental health. Several fitness apps have been released one after another on the market, making runners dazzled. Which kind of fitness APP is the best "fitness lover" for our exercise? What are the key differences between them? Today we will compare them carefully.

In order to save runners' time, I downloaded and operated them one by one. Finally, I combined third-party data and several app store rankings, and selected 4 fitness apps for comparative evaluation, namely Gudong, Nike Running, Ledongli, and Yuedongquan. Next, I will evaluate these four sports apps from multiple aspects, including GPS sports accuracy, sports types, UI and UE design, product reliability, and social functions.

GPS Fitness Accuracy Review

GPS sports accuracy is the most basic and important function of sports APP. It has basically become a standard configuration of all sports APPs. Therefore, the accuracy of GPS has also become an intuitive criterion for measuring the quality of a sports APP. In order to better detect the quality of the four sports software, this test uses the Baidu map distance measurement results as the accuracy reference for this evaluation. In addition, for this test, I recorded the running track completely according to the track of the map surveying project.

Gudong: Gudong is the software with the highest GPS accuracy among all the tested APPs. During the test, Gudong's record was extremely accurate, with only a 10-meter difference from the actual distance of 6.5 kilometers. Moreover, the route composition was clear, the stride length and frequency were recorded accurately, and the connection points for each kilometer were clear, but the color changes in the speed were not obvious enough.

It can be seen from the figure that Gudong's movement trajectory is closer to the set Baidu surveying and mapping engineering route. This is thanks to Gudong's unique GPS correction function. When the displayed relative path of the APP deviates from the actual relative path, Gudong can correct the APP displayed movement trajectory to the actual movement trajectory based on its own unique optimization algorithm, thereby greatly reducing the deviation. It is also worth mentioning that its step counting function can be added to the WeChat fitness ranking list to compare one's sports expert index in all friends circles.

Nike Running: Nike Running is the only APP with an international identity among the four participating APPs, and it is also the APP that places sports shoes in the most conspicuous position (after all, it is a major manufacturer of sports shoes). The test shows that Nike Running uses color to reflect speed, which is quite unique. However, its track route is more bumpy and tortuous than the actual route, with unclear turns, and some routes cannot be fully recorded.
