Why are my nipples itchy?

Why are my nipples itchy?

Many women sometimes experience nipple itching. In fact, the causes of nipple itching include: itching caused by bacterial infection caused by nipple development; itching caused by using improper shower gel, soap and underwear; itching caused by breast swelling in late pregnancy; excessive cleaning of the nipples causing damage to the nipple oil layer; and some itching caused by diseases such as breast cancer.

What causes itchy nipples?

1. During puberty, women's breasts begin to grow rapidly. The nipples will naturally grow rapidly. At this time, we must pay attention to its local hygiene. Because rapid growth and development leads to increased secretions, which provides conditions for the growth of various bacteria. If you do not pay attention to personal hygiene and use poor quality shower gel, soap and bra fabrics, etc., it is likely to cause dryness and peeling, resulting in unbearable nipple itching, which is inevitable. It is recommended to clean the breasts and nipples every night with warm water and a neutral, high-quality soap. If the problem is still not solved, then you should see a gynecologist.

2. Nipple itching in the late pregnancy is a normal reaction to pregnancy. As time goes by, the milk foam and nipples will continue to swell, and you will be a mother soon, which proves that your breast milk will feed your baby well. At present, you need to rub it frequently with a hot towel to remove the white stuff. It's normal and you can just wait to become a mother.

3. For women with large breasts, due to the material of underwear or fitness exercises, the nipple area may sometimes rub and cause eczema. Breast (scalp) eczema is a common skin disease: this type of disease is common during breastfeeding and can also occur in young girls. The patient's nipples, nipples and surrounding areas are covered with needle-sized papules and sores, with clear lines of sight, often accompanied by exudate and erosion. There is also a small amount of desquamation or scarring, active itching, and pain may occur when erosion and cracking occur. The causes of breast (head) eczema are complicated and are generally believed to be related to hypersensitivity reactions. This type of reaction may be related to genetic inheritance, fatigue and mental factors are also causes of the disease. To treat the disease, abnormal skin allergy factors should be eliminated, and irritating foods such as fish and shrimp, protein, white wine, and chili peppers should not be eaten; avoid strong scratching and scrubbing with hot water, and keep the area clean; do not wear bras made of chemical fiber fabrics, and apply corticosteroid cream under the guidance of a doctor.

4. Excessive cleanliness will affect the normal physiological needs of the skin, just like the soil without fertilizer. Moderate hygiene and cleaning services are enough. The destruction of the oil layer on the surface of the skin will also lead to one of the causes of skin itching. It is necessary to change the cleaning methods and methods. As long as the skin is not greasy, it is comfortable. If your stomach function is good, please eat more acidic fruits, which will help control the excessive leakage of body fat. Secondly, change to a bath soap that suits your skin to cleanse your skin. Don't use shower gel, because shower gel is not suitable for all skin types.

If you feel burning, itching, or dull pain in the nipples, or even pus or lumps, you should be alert to the possibility of eczematous breast cancer. Suggestion: Instead of worrying about the disease at home and delaying it, it is better to go to the hospital. Don't feel bad. Seeing an obstetrician and gynecologist for a detailed examination will only benefit girls and not harm them. Early treatment is the best way to prevent breast cancer.
