During ovulation, the egg cell and sperm fuse to form a sperm-egg combination. After about 6-7 days, the sperm-egg combination will implant in the uterine cavity and grow. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is secreted by the trophoblast cells in the fetal sac. HCG changes within 3 months of pregnancy. HCG can be detected in the blood about 10 days after fertilization. When HCG exceeds 10IU/l, it is highly suspected to be early pregnancy. As the number of days after menstruation increases, HCG levels will double every other day, and will reach a maximum value around 10 weeks of pregnancy, reaching around 100,000 IU/l. The maximum value will then decrease slightly and stabilize at 70,000 IU/l until the end of pregnancy. In the third month of pregnancy, due to the stable implantation of the fertilized egg, it is necessary to test the HCG level to judge the development of the embryo, and further diagnose in combination with the progesterone value and gynecological ultrasound. The changes in HCG during pregnancy will gradually increase, reaching the maximum level at around 10 weeks of pregnancy, and then will begin to stabilize at a higher level and no longer rise. When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, HCG levels will be within 200 IU/L and will not rise too much. During intrauterine pregnancy, HCG levels will increase with the increase in pregnancy weeks and will double every other day, reaching a maximum of around 100,000 IU/L. When hydatidiform mole occurs, HCG can reach a level of hundreds of thousands. HCG is a relatively early indicator for diagnosing early pregnancy. It needs to be combined with the progesterone level and gynecological B-ultrasound examination, the size of the gestational sac in the uterine cavity, and the early, middle and late appearance of the fetal heart and fetal bud to predict the early embryonic development. After pregnancy, the levels of estrogen, estradiol and human chorionic gonadotropin will increase significantly. Generally, the level of human chorionic gonadotropin will double after 48 hours of pregnancy, indicating that the baby is developing well. Estrogen and estradiol will increase slowly and steadily. If the estrogen level does not develop well during this period, progesterone levels should be supplemented in time, otherwise miscarriage will occur. Generally, after 10 weeks of pregnancy, growth hormone will not increase significantly, but will gradually decrease. Before the pregnant woman gives birth, this type of hormone will be just 10% of that in the early pregnancy, which is normal. Estrogen levels also increase slowly after pregnancy, but at a relatively slow rate, and then decrease gradually when the pregnant woman gives birth. |
