For many female friends, some gynecological diseases will actually occur. Among gynecological diseases, cervical polyps are actually a very common condition. If you encounter cervical polyps, the first thing you need to do is to seek timely treatment. Generally speaking, cervical polyps require surgical removal. First of all, many regular hospitals are actually very good at performing cervical polypectomy surgery. Cervical polyps are one of the clinical manifestations of chronic metritis. Polyps can originate from the cervical lip or endocervical canal, vary in size, and often have a thin pedicle connected to the cervix. Although cervical polyps are less likely to become malignant, they should be removed and sent for pathological examination once discovered. Anesthesia and preoperative preparation 1. Anesthesia method Direct polyp removal usually does not require anesthesia. The polypectomy was performed under hysteroscopy and intravenous general anesthesia was given. 2. Preoperative Preparation Preoperative examination of leucorrhea and cervical scraping. Surgical procedures 1. The speculum exposes the cervix. 2. Routinely disinfect the cervix and vagina, and perform surgery according to the size of the polyp. 3. For small polyps with thin pedicles, you can use hemostatic forceps to clamp the polyp and twist the pedicle in one direction to break the polyp. 4. Polyps with thick pedicles should be ligated or sutured with silk thread, and the polyps should be removed. 5. Resected polyps should be routinely sent for pathological examination. Disease name. It is a type of chronic cervicitis. Due to chronic inflammatory stimulation, the cervical mucosa proliferates locally and gradually protrudes toward the external opening to form polyps. The root of the polyp is usually attached to the external os of the cervix or inside the endocervical canal. There are one or more tumors of varying sizes, most with a diameter of less than 1 cm, bright red in color, soft in texture, easy to bleed, and with a slender pedicle. Microscopic examination shows that the polyp is covered with a layer of columnar epithelium, contains cervical glands, and has loose connective tissue and abundant microvessels in the stroma, often accompanied by inflammatory cell infiltration. The clinical manifestations are the same as chronic cervicitis. Treatment: Cervical polypectomy. The lamina propria of the endocervical canal constitutes the polyps of the cervix, and its organizational structure is the surface covered epithelium and subcutaneous crypt tissue. Generally, when ulcers occur on the surface epithelium, the crypt tissue underneath will become granulation tissue with certain characteristics, that is, polyps with visible symptoms; if squamous metaplasia of varying shapes occurs on the surface epithelium, this type of polyp will have dilatation of the cervical crypts. Sometimes these polyps are composed of cysts surrounded by a lot of mucus, which are covered with squamous epithelium. If polyps proliferate abnormally, they may transform into epidermoid carcinoma or adenocarcinoma, posing a threat to women's life and health. |
