What is HPV and how is it caused?

Because modern society has a more open mind, many young men and women have sex before getting married, and some even change their sexual partners frequently. 1. HPV infection is almost everywhere in the natural environment we live in. Most people have HPV infection on their skin, digestive tract and respiratory tract. This type of virus infection is mostly staged when it exists in the body. It will disappear on its own within 1-2 years or be defeated by the body's own immune system.

2. If either a man or a woman is infected with the HPV virus, then sexual intercourse with each other is the most likely way to pass the virus on to the other party;

3. If a person infected with HPV shares some daily necessities with others, such as toilets, bathtubs, swimming pools and other public facilities, it is possible to transmit the virus to others;

4. Some women become pregnant without clearing their HPV virus before pregnancy. If they choose natural delivery, the fetus may be infected with the HPV virus when it is born through the birth canal.

What diseases can hpv test detect

1. Cervical cancer. If the HPV test results are positive for HPV types 16 and 18, it indicates that the risk of cervical cancer is very high. Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor with a high morbidity rate. Common symptoms include vaginal bleeding and vaginal discharge.

2. Common warts. If the test results are positive for types 1, 2, or 4, it can be confirmed that there are warts, also known as common warts. Common warts can appear anywhere on the body, especially on the arms, and appear as small, raised rashes.

3. Periungual warts. Periungual warts refer to common warts that occur around the fingernails. They are initially located within the nail frame and after invading the skin, they may manifest as wart-like lesions. Periungual warts can destroy the nail structure and cause pain.

4. Filiform warts. Filiform warts are a more unique type, mainly appearing on the upper eyelids, neck and other places, and are mainly manifested as single floc-like protrusions that are relatively soft.

5. Plantar warts. If the test results for types 2 and 4 are positive, it can be diagnosed as plantar warts. Plantar warts appear just below the callus and can be painful when the patient walks.

6. Genital warts. If the test results for types 6 and 11 are positive, it can be diagnosed as genital warts. Genital warts are a genital disease with a high morbidity rate and are highly infectious.
