1. Psychological factors.

Many people say that they have become sexually apathetic after giving birth. The main reason is their own psychological problems. Since the baby is born, many mothers have started taking care of the baby 24 hours a day. They will inevitably feel tired both physically and mentally. All things in life depend on the baby. Even when having sex, they have to always pay attention to the baby's sleep condition. Is this really the case? This will make them lose interest. There is also a saying that, if you give birth to a daughter, after giving birth, there will be stretch marks on the belly and a long bar on the belly, which you still don’t want your husband to see. Because of these situations, many mothers will refuse their husbands’ requests.

2. Physiological factors.

After giving birth, the hormone levels of many new mothers will change, and estrogen will drop significantly, which will lead to a decrease in secretions from the private parts. During intercourse, the lack of lubricant will cause noticeable dryness and poor elasticity. In addition, episiotomy is required during normal delivery, so it is easy to feel pain. Since the female pelvic muscles and fascia are damaged during childbirth, the vagina will also become loose.

3. How long after giving birth is it appropriate to have sex?

Therefore, the first sexual intercourse after childbirth is difficult to succeed, generally because of these two reasons. So in general, the earliest time to have sex should be two months later. If it is a caesarean section, the time will be longer for the woman. This is because the surgical wound itself needs a certain amount of time to heal, so the earliest time should not exceed three months.
