Prepare 12 grams of Uncaria rhynchophylla, 10 grams of fried Cortex Moutan, 9 grams of fried Gardenia, 12 grams each of red and white Peony Root, 10 grams of charred Crataegus pinnatifida, 10 grams of Aconiti Lateralis Preparata, 6 grams of fried Pollen Typhae (wrapped and decocted), 12 grams of fried Dipsacus asper, 10 grams of Poria, 5 grams of fried Bupleurum, and 15 grams of Leonurus japonicus.

Main effects: It can clear the liver and relieve depression, remove blood stasis and regulate menstruation. It can treat early menstruation, excessive menstrual flow, premenstrual breast pain, and excessive blood clots during menstruation. This prescription must be taken during menstruation to be more effective.

3. Cold-mixed Malantou

Prepare 200 grams of fresh Amaranthus, 2 pieces of braised dried tofu, and appropriate amounts of MSG, sugar, salt, and sesame oil. Wash and clean the Amaranth, blanch it in boiling water for 1 minute, take it out and let it cool, then cut it into small pieces. Then chop the braised dried tofu into small pieces and mix it with the minced amaranth. Add sugar, salt, MSG, drizzle with sesame oil, mix well and it’s done. Serve as a side dish and eat as you like.

Main effects: This prescription can clear away heat and cool blood. It is suitable for irregular menstruation, which is of blood heat type, with early menstruation, heavy menstruation, red and sticky menstruation, irritability, thirst, yellow tongue coating, and rapid pulse.

4. Mutton Soup with Fermented Black Beans

Prepare 500 grams of fermented black beans, 100 grams of mutton, 15 grams of ginger, and appropriate amount of salt. Put the first three ingredients in a casserole and cook until they are well-cooked, then add salt to taste. Start taking the medicine 1 week before each menstruation and continue for 1 week.

Main effects: This prescription warms the meridians and dispels cold, nourishes blood and regulates menstruation. It is suitable for irregular menstruation, which is of cold blood type, late menstruation, scanty and dark menstruation, cold pain and heaviness in the lower abdomen, white tongue coating, etc.
