What causes nipple pain after menstruation?

Many women experience nipple pain before and after their menstrual period. This type of pain is generally known as menstrual nipple pain in medicine. Of course, there are many reasons for female nipple pain, such as mastitis or breast cancer, insufficient qi and blood, poor blood circulation, etc. In addition, data show that breast disease has become a common disease with the highest mortality rate among women. 1. Women experience unbearable nipple itching or pain before, during or after menstruation, which is so severe that they cannot wear clothes. Clinically, there is no fever. After the pus mass softens, it forms a cold abscess; it can penetrate the skin to form a fistula or sinus tract, and discharge thin pus with cheesy debris. In a few patients, the lumps become hard lumps through fibrosis, which changes the shape of the breast and causes the nipple to retract, making it difficult to distinguish from breast cancer.
